Stayed here a few days ago, for 3 nights. Great for couples. Small hotel. Clean room. Small shower but you can make it work. Common kitchen with coffee machine and fridge for guests to use. Easy self check-in, nice staff always answered via whatsapp. Didn't feel unsafe in nearby streets. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Excellent hotel for a good price. Rooms are very clean and beautiful. Breakfast in a nearby restaurant was very tasty. Located in a nice street with all amenities such as restaurants, grocery shops. Great host.

Good price to quality ratio. The bed was comfortable, room spacious. The only drawbacks were the paper thin walls - you could hear neighbors arguing or watching tv. Also the bathroom could use a refresh, but nothing major. On the plus side - very helpful staff. Excellent location, can't recommend enough! The vouchers for breakfast at local caffees were brilliant, you get a croissant and a delicious coffee.

I stayed at El Dorado Colosseum for 2 nights. The guesthouse is very close to Manzoni station and walking distance from Termini Station and Colosseum. I had a very warm welcome from Cristiano (the owner), the room was very nice: big, clean, with a nice balcony over the street (with closed window you don't listen to the noise from the street). The stay was great, very good value for money, I recommend it.

On the plus side, it's 200m from the Manzoni metro station (Line A) and a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum. The area is relatively quiet at night and we felt safe there. The room, exactly like in the photos we had seen, had new furnishings, very comfortable bed and pillows and was cleaned every day (maybe not perfectly, but still..). The wifi connection was excellent. They also offered "breakfast" (coffee and croissant) in a nearby cafe (1 minute from the B&B's entrance). We used the air-conditioning for heating and it was all good. Lastly, the owner as well as all the people working there were very accommodating and even gave us tips on places to visit and where to eat. On the downside, the room's soundproofing was virtually inexistent. We could hear everything that went on in the street as well as in the rest of the B&B like there were no windows or doors. Late at night we also heard noise and footsteps from the floor above. We were pretty exhausted, though, so we managed to fall asleep again quickly. Also, beware of the numbering in the street. The B&B is at number 73, though the street numbers jump from 113 to 77 (if I'm not mistaken) at one point. Lastly, we had asked for the Amethyst room and even though the owner confirmed it, we were given the Silver room... Despite the disadvantages, we recommend the place and wouldn't mind staying there again sometime. 24-28.3.2013
