I had an amazing stay at hotel elmina! The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect near Jaffa and the beach- walkable to everything. My room was very beautifully decorated and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone coming to Tel Aviv!

Location is great, and while on paper this seems to be an amazing value for money, we were surprised by several deal breakers... There is no elevator, so if you're coming with a lot of luggage or if you don't want to climb many stairs this is not a good fit. The breakfast isn't on the premises, it is with some sort of a voucher to a nearby cafe. When we tried to check in, we opened our room door to find a messy room that hasn't been cleaned/prepared for us. After finding out there is no elevator, we asked them to accommodate us on a lower floor because we had a large amount of luggage and they said there was no option. But, after all of the problems popped up and they tried to keep us there that's when they said all of a sudden they can give us a large room on a lower floor (still with a high flight of stairs to climb). Bottom line we had a very troubling experience there, but the hotel resolved it by letting us cancel our booking and leave right away.

This is my third visit and as usual I can highly recommend Elmina Hotel for all Tel-Aviv visitors and travellers. Best place to stay and work. Location is very good - close to the sea. Polite and friendly stuff. I can not expect more from this price.
