Being close to the airport, you can actually get to the airport on foot from the hotel in less than 10 minutes. The hotel is spacious and the rooms are comfortable. You can relax at the balconies. I enjoyed the food served at the restaurant. Bathrooms have kits including toothbrush, body lotion, shampoo and a vanity kit. I always enjoy the complimentary assorted tea items in the rooms.

Had to stay the night due to flight delays and the hotel really is a nice surprise. Staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and spacious, and the hotels pool, spa and mostly the gym is one of the best I have ever seen. Ofc super close to the airport. Food is not good though, they can work on that for sure.

Really such a beautiful and wonderful hotel. I had the pleasure of experiencing the rooms in both building blocks during my transit to and from my destination. The hotel has every amenity possible gym, restaurants, coffee shop, retail, church, swimming pools and so much more. I would love to stay here outside of transit visits because the food they give the guests that are paying looks so good and I wish I could’ve enjoyed that instead of the transit guests buffet, because that food is awful.

4/5 because They’re trying. The rooms are comfortable the bed was extremely comfortable and the pillow was a dream! The food on the other hand is a tad bit of a let down but probably because I am not Ethiopian? So for example, They served Pineapple juice and a spicy type of meat which was not my cup of tea. But I’m sure it was great for others? Breakfast could be improved a tad bit but overall happy to have stayed here in transit to Zanzibar due to my long layover

I recently had a layover in Bole Dildey and stayed at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel. First things first, this place looks amazing – it's totally 5-star with some really fancy decor and super comfy rooms. The room I got was really nice, with a big bed and all the stuff you'd expect in a fancy hotel. The view from the window was pretty sweet too. I heard they have a great pool and gym, but didn’t get a chance to check them out. Now, the food was good – they had a bunch of different options, and everything I tried was tasty. The breakfast buffet was a win with lots of choices, which is always cool. But here’s the thing – I kinda felt like there was a different vibe for people like me who were just there for a transit stay compared to guests who checked in on their own. It wasn’t anything super obvious, but it was like the staff were a bit more formal with us transit folks and didn’t go out of their way as much as they did with other guests. Not a big deal, but it was something I noticed. Despite that, everyone was still pretty nice and helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they made sure we got to and from the airport without any hassles, which was great. All in all, the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel is a pretty cool place to stay, especially if you're in transit. It's got all the fancy stuff you'd want in a 5-star hotel, and it's a comfortable spot to relax before your next flight. Just keep in mind that the experience might be a tad different if you're not a regular guest.
