This is a gleaming hotel, and a marvelous place for a stay during the Christmas season. As far as as the smell of weed outside the hotel is concerned , I don’t think the hotel can play any role. The city has to take it up. The proximity to the local attractions is an added bonus. There was a minor issue with the heating in our room, within a couple of minutes we were given a portable room heater. The service was so good! The rooms are spacious, and comfortable, and ours had a great view of the city. The differently-themed holiday trees were such a visual treat! The housekeeping staff made sure that our room was neat, and everything was well-arranged. They gave me a big container of moisturizer for use during my stay, and suggested that I could buy one if I had taken a liking to it. The uniformed service attendants were very helpful with our luggage. I will definitely be going back!

Booked online and it showed me a total of $316.39. I show up in person and after their fees and taxes it’s at $530 just a heads up👍 room service food was very mediocre. I had ordered the braised beef and felt the portion was quite small and the gravy had a very odd taste. For $70 I expected a little better I’ll be honest. The wall plug next to the bed didn’t work, didn’t check that and woke up to a dead phone, hot tub was pretty grungy and foamy, gym is extremely lacking in equipment. However the staff were very professional and helpful, and the room was clean and the bed was fairly comfy.

Our family had an incredible stay at Hotel Vancouver Fairmont. The property's elegance, proximity to luxury shopping and dining, and outstanding customer service left us thoroughly impressed. Krystina, from the gold floor, went above and beyond, making our daughter's birthday unforgettable with thoughtful room decorations and a delightful array of goodies. Her warm hospitality made us feel truly welcomed. Opting for the gold floor was a fantastic choice, offering a superb breakfast and appetizers throughout the day. The Fairmont team's efforts made our weekend, especially our birthday celebration, truly special. Despite usually staying at the Pacific Rim property, I'm looking forward to returning in March for a conference at Hotel Vancouver Fairmont.

Location is very convenient. Walking distance to mall, restaurants, etc. but the cons to this is because it’s in such a busy location, there are many people in streets. Mix that with the smell of weed. Not pleasant to me personally. The inside of the hotel is very nice. Looks luxurious. They have only one really nice restaurant. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and have a trendy bar. You can shop in a handful of high end stores like Dior, Omega, etc. Standard room was clean and bed was comfortable. However, the walls are thin. I am a heavy sleeper, slept through storms before, but I was awakened by loud noises from people talking and laughing at 1am in the hallway. It lasted what seems to be 2 hours. Very disrespectful for other guests. Couldn’t go back to bed after that. Hotel needs to put up signs for noise curfew. As for the services, not like what we are accustomed to from other Fairmont hotels we have been in past. When we first pulled our car up to hotel, a male staff stood outside the door and didn’t come up to help us. He looked at us and then looked away. That may sound unbelievable, if management is reading this, but that did happen. At the check-in counter, the female staff was not as friendly or welcoming to new guests checking in. Can’t say I’ll recommend others to stay here. Maybe just to eat and shop.

Let's be real, it's a Fairmont and excellent. I can't afford to even look in the stores that are in thr lobby. We were treated to this room thanks to family that got married. They had booked it being reward members. We stayed on the gold floor and the biggest issue we had was the bathroom smells like sewer gas. Staff is incredible.. we loved the Sea Gull coming for a visit each day
