Starting from September 1st, 2014 the amount has been increased up to EUR 7.00 per person per night (depending on the accommodation type and star rating). Children under the age of 10 years are exempt from payment. The fee will be asked of anyone staying in overnight accommodation inside Rome’s boundaries at the end of each stay. The fee is not included in the price and must be paid at the Hotel. . Please note that internal garage is available for 40 Euros per night.

Stayed here for over a week on a visit to Rome. Our room did not have a view, but it was off the street and was quiet at night, which others in our group who had street-facing rooms said was a bit of an issue. Nice room with a good bathroom. Plenty of space to unpack and settle in. The restaurant offered a good breakfast every morning with a great view. We had dinner there one night and really enjoyed the experience as well. We were within easy walking distance to so much of what we wanted to see in Rome. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

The general experience was good. Staff spoke good English, rooms were a bit small, but we had everything that we needed and the room was clean. The location was very convenient. The only issue that arose was when we went to balance our account. We had prepaid our room and the staff tried to convince us that we needed to pay for the room. Luckily we had our voucher that showed we prepaid, however, even this was not appeasing the staff person. We managed to leave, however, we encountered other travellers who had had the same experience, I am not sure of their outcome.

I suppose I’ll begin my review with the obvious health hazard which was mold all over the bathroom ceiling and walls. We took pictures and brought it to the attention of the front desk staff only for them to deny that it was mold. Finally, after going back and forth a bit they agreed that yes, the black spots on the walls were in fact mold but that “it’s just mold”. Clearly no regard for the respiratory health of their guests. Cleanliness is bare minimum necessity… Second, i’m not sure how anyone is able to get a restful night’s sleep at this hotel. Between the loud partying going on in the neighboring building, multiple garbage trucks thundering down the street right outside the window along with motorcycles and other traffic through all hours of the night, we maybe got 3 hours of sleep total. The hotel is heavily outdated and honestly felt like we were in a funeral home. I’m all for the old Italian traditional decor but, this was not it. The hotel boasts a 4-star rating but is truly far from it. I’d give it a 2 star, at the very best. It’s close to some sights which is good but that’s about the only good thing going. Glad we were only here for one night.

My recent stay at this hotel was a disappointment from the moment I walked into the bathroom. The walls and ceiling were covered in unsightly mold, and the shower refused to drain properly. To make matters worse, the wooden floorboards were coming up, creating a hazardous environment. For a supposed 4-star hotel, it felt more like a 2-star at best. I tried to address the mold problem with the staff, but their dismissive response was disheartening. Despite showing them photos and pointing out the unmistakable mold smell and visible spores, they insisted it wasn't mold. It's concerning when a hotel ignores such an obvious health hazard. The hotel's outdated appearance was hard to overlook; it clearly hasn't seen any significant renovations in a while. And as for getting a good night's rest, that was nearly impossible due to its unfortunate location next to a loud bar. Throughout the night, the symphony of loud partygoers, trucks, and passing bikers made it challenging to sleep. Overall, my experience at this hotel was far from enjoyable. I would caution anyone considering a stay here to think twice, as the condition and noise level are far from what one would expect from a 4-star establishment.
