Extremely good hotel in a perfect location. We went at Christmas so it was beautiful decorated and very stylish. Staff couldn't do enough to help and even brought up a birthday plate of goodies for my daughter. The room was very cold but this could have been because they were authentic wooden windows. It would have been nice to have had the opportunity to alter the temperature ourselves with a thermostat. Excellent food too.

Lovely overnight stay for our anniversary. Couldn’t fault anything. We were in the newer refurbished ‘wing’. Very comfortable bed, nice ensuite, paid for a superior room. Food was lovely at the evening meal (fish and chips and seabass) and breakfast was great. Very attentive staff.

A hotel in a fantastic location. Rooms, well the one we were in 119, was fabulous. Wuth a large comfortable bed, warm and a nice en-suite. The main communal areas were cold ( it was a particularly cold snap). A selection of cakes would have been nice to have mid-afternoon . Would return.

Our room on the third floor was nice and quiet. And you can feel the history in the hotel itself. As others have mentioned. the parking was very difficult and the spaces very, very tight. Although we did manage to secure the last spot. The Charlotte St car park is very close by, so that probably would have served almost as well. We didn't eat in the hotel, but had a nightcap in the bar at the end of the day. The bar itself was far to bright and had a lack of ambiance. Not what one would expect in such a historic building.The barman was very friendly, but obviously had no training in cocktail making. Also there was a lack of seating in the bar. We only managed to get two seats as some other guests moved for us.

What an amazing hotel, great service and you could not ask for a better location. Visited on 3rd December to take in the Bath Christmas markets. Hotel was £170 for a superior room, this included £100 credit in the restaurant and breakfast. Fantastic food in the evening and a mediocre breakfast. Book direct and you also get a free drink each. Only problem was the parking, but the reception staff did manage to find me a space (thankyou). Loved the stay so much, we have already book again for February. Can't wait.
