My first solo hostel experience in Geneva was a delightful surprise! The moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by the welcoming staff, a group of infectiously cheerful and hilarious individuals who instantly made me feel like part of their crazy, fun-loving family. The welcoming staff, clean rooms, and vibrant atmosphere made me feel right at home. The convenient location near attractions like the Old Town and Lake Geneva was perfect for exploring. But what truly set this hostel apart was the sense of community. I felt like I was part of a family, sharing meals, laughter, and unforgettable experiences with people from all over the world. This camaraderie enriched my stay and left me with lasting memories. A small gym would be a great addition, but overall, my experience at Geneva Hostel was exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend it to solo travelers and groups seeking a comfortable, welcoming, and vibrant place to stay in Geneva.

Not far from main station , about 15 minutes walk and easy enough to find. Good location close to lake and easy access to the water taxis and green space. Reception a bit tired looking but OK, staff polite and efficient. If you arrive early you can drop your bags securely for free, and come back at check-in time. Lockers outside rooms are operated by keycard so convenient. Access to room, toilet/shower/canteen also with same key card. Beds OK and nice clean linen provided. Towels can be rented cheaply or bring your own. Breakfast reasonable Continental choice. Coffee machines not bad. Overall good value for a few nights. They also serve evening meals which are about half the price of eating out. CHF10-11 for fish and chips.

Plus side: Great location and breakfast. The room and lockers were big enough and clean. They took into consideration all my requests in the reservation. Down side: The floor in the room makes noise every time you step on it. Meaning when a person enters the room late, even if they try to be quiet, they will wake up the entire room because every step makes noise. There are no curtains on the beds for privacy. I waited about 30 minutes for check in because there was a big group and only one receptionist. Bottom line: I will go there again when in Geneva.

Great value for your money. Both my partner and I were impressed by the hostel. The front desk is open 24/7, hence perfect for people checking in late and the free provided lockers are big enough for international travel suitcases. The bathrooms where big enough for the amount of people on your floor, though they did have a damp smell to them. The 6-bed bedrooms were alright, you get what you pay for so I didn’t expect much. Clean and secure, no AC or fan hence it was rather warm during the night (we stayed during mid August). The provided breakfast was actually quite good, a lot of choice and variety, better than your average continental breakfast. The hostels location was perfect. 3 min walk from Lake Geneva, easy to get to if you are taking the public transport, and 5 min walk from a Lidl.
