The Golden Butterfly Villa is wonderful! The staff welcomed me with cool lemon iced tea and yummy banana chips, making me feel like I was in a 5-star luxury resort. They were incredibly warm and attentive, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. The hotel's standout feature is definitely its super friendly and helpful staff, who were amazing throughout my stay. The rooms were awesome too. Not just clean and tidy, but also spacious with private bathrooms and hot water. There's a communal balcony you can get to from the hallway. It's perfect for grabbing some fresh air, smoking a cigarette, or snapping a few photos. If you want to hang out or chat with other guests, there's a comfy lobby with plenty of seating. The hotel has reliable room service, speedy Wi-Fi, and good air conditioning and hot water. Location-wise, it's a winner: just three minutes on foot to the night market, five minutes to bars and a 7 Eleven. Plus, there's a laundry service the staff recommended just 50 meters away. (6000 Riel for 1kg) Just a heads-up: there's a school right in front of the hotel that gets a bit noisy in the mornings. If your room faces the back, you might hear some evening music from nearby. The hotel team told me about it and said sorry, but honestly, it wasn't a big deal for me since I was out in the evenings anyway. To wrap it up, the Golden Butterfly went way beyond what I expected for the price. It’s got a fantastic mix of excellent service, comfy rooms, and a perfect location. I'd definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel! Great location, good clean rooms with good AC and water pressure and very attentive staff - especially Navin, who is perhaps the nicest guy in Cambodia!? Seriously! His employer should give him a raise because he is a valuable employee. Location is great, 3 min walk to pub street and with lots of good value restaurants around the corner on the way to pub street.

Good location and great service. Excellent WiFi. Rooms are clean and modern. Bed and bedding very comfortable. Bathroom nice too with plenty of hot water. Hard to beat for price. As others have mentioned, the primary school starts around 7 am with children singing and playing. I liked hearing the vitality but i do not sleep late in morning.
