I had an amazing experience with this hotel. We had the international conference there and it’s really important to have good setup from the hotel. This one made everything perfect. Tech part, organization, food. Everything was so good. Many thanks to Jesus and Joshua for doing amazing job and being such a nice people. Here is my positive feedback and hope to cooperate again.

Amazing location, clean rooms and great customer service. Loved it and definitely will come again. I visited for a short trip and stayed for 4 days. Was great because accessible to everything around, didn’t need a car and enjoyed the walk to sagrada, and other attractions around. Lots of supermarkets around as well and great selection of restaurants. Definitely will come again and recommend it to everyone

PROS: 1. The staff were amazing, super friendly and always helpful. I was able to borrow umbrellas on a rainy day and quickly schedule a room cleaning on my way out. 5 out of 5 for their hospitality and I appreciated and enjoyed my interaction with everyone no matter the time. 2. The gym is tiny but it's there and enough to get something done. 3. The location worked best for me. Lots of great coffee spots nearby and good walking distance to things I was interested in. 4. The king size bed was huge and made you want to sleep the day away. CONS: 1. The biggest and most annoying issue is the bathroom as it is the only pic I have attached. This is the worst design I have encountered to date. No shower curtain meant the water splashed everywhere every single time you try to take a shower. All that extra space on the side collected water and dumped it on the floor. One time I spent 30 mins mopping up because the water from the shower flooded half the bathroom. Taking a shower made me angry, the complete opposite of what a relaxing vacation should be. I am getting annoyed writing this review now again just remembering the experience. 2. Wifi is super weak. The TV was modern enough but could not stream anything. When it finally did, the resolution was down sampled to pixelated blocks. It was so bad that you were better off just staring at the wall. 3. Noise. The rooms form a cylinder and the lobby and bar is at the base. Which means all conversations, yelling, piano playing will get pushed up to the rooms on the outer edge. 4. Noise again. On the first two days I could hear someone snoring. No idea how that was carried through. After that it was kids screaming at 1am and general conversations I felt like I was part of. 5. Temperature control. It was cold most of the time. No matter how much you try to increase the temperature, it always falls back down either on the auto or manual settings. Additionally, the vent in the particular room pointed directly to the bed so you get a face full whenever the air kicks on. 2023.12.25-2024.01.06

We enjoyed our stay at the Gran Hotel Havana. Our room had an outdoor terrace which was nice for sitting outside. The rooftop pool and lounge area was great. The food we ordered was very good too. We had a few requests with the room during the stay and they gladly accommodated them all. Friendly staff and close to major sites in Barcelona. Providing more shaded areas on the roof by the pool could be improved.

I booked the room online and then the reservation wasn’t in the system. That was my own fault. Then we reserved the room as a ‘walk-in’, the receptionist wasn’t friendly and didn’t say the price per night. The price per night that she gave us, was much higher than the price online. I said it to another receptionist 1 day later and he told us: You had to say that when checking-in. But I expect as a hotel guest that they always will give the BAR rate, because I work in a hotel in the Netherlands. We asked for a refund, but they couldn’t do anything. Furthermore the hotel and location are good. Always check the price online as a walk-in guest!
