We had a lovely stay here over Christmas weekend. Our room was very nice, very clean, and the king bed was super comfortable! (I don't normally say that about hotel beds!) The breakfast room was well appointed and the breakfast bar was great. This hotel is close to the expressway and also has a lot of shopping and restaurants very nearby.

I'm a Hampton customer. I chose Hampton because of our past experience with the brand. This location did not meet up to those prior experiences. Room 304 needs some love. This location needs some updating in the bathrooms. It was a let down to see the state of it. The shower is grimy at the top like someone can't reach. Also has mildew/mold stained caulk and corners. The toilet tips from side to side with any movement. The conditioner was empty. On my first day I had to ask for more toilet paper and tissue as the room was left with less than half a roll and no back up. Not a huge deal in life but for $176 a night it is for me. The microwave was also left with someone's old food in it. I refused to open it. I did report this to the front desk and the attendant did look as disturbed as I felt and took notes. No one ever came to remedy any of it. The pool was ice cold. The very first step into the water was unbearable! So that was out! Really bummed. The plus was breakfast options. Hampton always does a nice job with their breakfast. I am gluten free and appreciate the basic scrambled eggs and breakfast meats.

Hotel was newish and rooms are large and comfortable. The front desk staff was good but not great. I travel a lot and stay with Hilton every time. This was a stay that was basic effort on my hosts part.

I usually enjoy my stay at Hampton Inn, but this time around was different. When I checked in, the attendant was on his cell phone with a friend and he seemed annoyed that we walked up. He told the friend he would have to call him back. The room was clean though, so it made up for the bad first impression. My daughter and I left soon after we arrived for a concert and got back at midnight. At 9 am on the dot, the next morning (Saturday) we were rudely awoken with the sound of landscapers outside our window, trimming the hedges. The smell of the gas/two-stroke came through the AC vents as well. Why in the world would you schedule landscapers on a Saturday at 9 am when your hotel was at full capacity?! Can’t they come on a Tuesday, when business travelers have already left? Next time I book a hotel, I will sadly have to ask if they plan to have a landscaping crew (or any similar company) doing work on a Saturday morning.
