First of all I would like to express the rooms are fairly good few light stains on the ceiling but the beds where clean when we arrived, although they where not cleaned between days, and to mention I did not see any maids present in the hotel at all. The bathroom seemed to be clean to the eye and there was amenities provided including shampoo, shower gel, hand was and towels. My biggest complaint lies with the breakfast or should I say the lack of one, there was meant to be a continental breakfast on offer but instead we came down to find a basket of boiled eggs, bread and boxes of mini cereal. Only one type of jam which I could not use due to allergy. There was not any fruit on offer at all or yogurts for my partners little boy and when I spoke to the staff member who seemed to be running the breakfast he tended to agree with us and and go on to say that he has received multiple complaints against the breakfast. If I had to hazard a guess that due to lack of guests for that weekend they decided to serve us a very mediocre breakfast to save money which I understand from a business point of view but in turn all guests should be treated the same not matter how busy the hotel is. The games room is very dark and dim with just a pool table and a bar, which had no beer or ales on the pump just bottled beers, again raises my suspicion of lack of stock due to lack of guests. I was unable to pay for a bottle of beer anyway as I had no cash and they had no card machine. Also on a side note I heard the parking situation was lied about to customers, I over heard a women in breakfast room saying she had to pay £10 a night parking I did not drive so I can’t confirm this or not but worth mentioning. And onto reception….. that was never manned and I mean never manned only a phone number to call when you wanted to check in. The wifi worked only about 10% of the time making it hard to get online for things like planning a day or finding local shops or restaurants and staying gin touch with friends and family due to my poor network connection with o2 in that area. I will just stay the staff seemed really lovely and friendly but hey did not really know what the left arm and the right arm was doing most of the time. It seems to me that this hotel is not yet suitable for taking guest and looking after them and I would only recommend as a bed to sleep for the night please be aware. Finally I would like to say I gave the hotel a chance to resolve my issues with them by emailing them but nearly 2 weeks later and multiple phone calls and emails to chase it up I have still heard nothing back which displays the upmost ignorance from the hotel and the owners as it really seems like they simply don’t care and have no time to even answer me back or show they care about there business they run and how the guests are treated.
