My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Firstly, we loved the friendliness of all the staff, always willing to help. The rooms were good, comfortable and very clean. We highlight the help of the bar waiter who was essential in making our stay even better.

I would really not recommend the hotel. First point would be the cleaning and the quality of the rooms. We had several rooms and all had problems. The pictures I posted from only one of the rooms speak for themselves. The other problem is the noise as the soundproofing is very poor, and you can hear everything going on in the corridors. And if your are unlucky to have the service door next to your room, you will hear it slam every 2 minutes! The location is good if you want to see a show at Theater 11 but it's a little outside the center of Zurich.

Located 20 minutes by taxi from airport and one block from tram station, hotel is very modern, comfortable lounge. Very good breakfast with multiple options. Room with coffee pods is great improvement over other hotels with instant coffee. Bathroom could use a walk in shower rather than a tub. Front desk was always friendly and area is safe to walk at night.

The hotel room was big and clean. There were not any problem with that. Bed quality and pillows quality is more than expected. Bathroom was clean and large. Ice machines in all floors. Staff was kind. They gave us an umbrella since it was raining that day. There were a problem entering the hotel parking. The mechanism didn't wok. Parking fee is very expensive for considering that the hotel is not even close the city center and have plenty of space. Breakfast was poor considering other Switzerland hotels.

We had an unpleasant experience with this hotel. My group of 4 stayed for 2 nights. We had to wait almost an hour past our 3pm check-in time as the rooms weren't ready. We were initially compensated with 4x complimentary breakfast but in an unprecedented PR move hotel concierge 'C' said it was 'too much' and took the vouchers back, only to return with 3x soft drink vouchers. My group was then separated into different floors despite booking the rooms altogether. My room had a faulty shower head and very mild molding in the bathroom, which we could accept. However the other room had faulty AC and heating. When we informed the faulty AC/heating to the front desk, they offered us a room change that we rejected as we were already behind schedule by that time. They offered us yet another complimentary soft drink for our troubles. Lastly, we were informed we had to pay the total amount of 600+ CHF upon check out with the difference returned to us 'in a few days', despite already paying a 400+ CHF deposit which we had not accounted for in our budget. All in all, holiday inn is a serviceable hotel if you temper your expectations. Though I highly doubt we'd be staying with them again.
