I wish I could give this hotel zero stars, because it was the worst experience of my life. The staff was rude, incompetent, and unprofessional. They literally could not communicate with me or each other. The receptionist was always angry and impatient, and she refused to help me with anything. She even yelled at me when I asked for a simple thing like a map or a taxi. The manager was no better, he ignored my complaints and treated me like I was invisible. The room was dirty, smelly, and falling apart. The bed was uncomfortable, the sheets were stained, and the pillows were lumpy. The bathroom was disgusting, the shower was broken, and the toilet was clogged. The air conditioner was noisy, the TV was fuzzy, and the Wi-Fi was slow. The breakfast was bland, the coffee was cold, and the service was slow. The location was terrible, the neighborhood was noisy, and the view was ugly. I hated every minute of my stay at Los Arcos, and I will never come back. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel at all costs. It is a nightmare.

Location is the best you can ask for in Madrid. The rooms are clean, but small, no air conditioning, we were unfortunate to have also the washing machine room by our side, the towels in the first day were worn out, we felt that for the price, it wasn't good enough.

The only good thing about this hostal was the location. The place is very shabby. The receptionist was very unpleasant dressed inappropriately and hardly ever at his desk. If you do not speak any Spanish, receptionist does not understand a word in English. The room was never cleaned and when we left a note for the room to be cleaned, only the towels were changed. Even though there was central heating in the rooms this was turned off, making it very difficult to sleep at night with the cold. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying as this hostal.

All you can expect from cheap hostel in the city center. Rooms are small but clean, bathroom as well. WiFi, towels, fan are included. There could be a small language barrier between you and the staff, if you don't speak Spanish but Violeta is very kind and helpful. If you speak/understand Italian or French, you'll be fine. Four stars instead of five is for very thin walls between rooms. You can hear your neighbors conversations and all what is happening in the hall. It didn't bother me much, but for some people it could be a no-go. Other than that everything is fine for the price and location.
