I really recommend Novum Hotel Alster - St. Georg! Everything is simply perfect! Location, rooms, breakfast. I always lodge here when I’m in Hamburg and I feel like home. The Reception Staff is great! A special thanks goes to Fahim who is super professional and kind, always ready to help and welcome with smile, a real great service! I really appreciate! Coming back is always a great pleasure and hope it’s going to be soon!

Lovely corner hotel in a convenient location with good breakfast. Two critiques, resulting in 4 stars: - My room was on the 1st floor above the entrance. It was July, so early deliveries with running truck engines were loud. More annoyingly, smokers would linger with their smoke coming through the window. There is not much I would expect that the hotel could do about either! - I believe I may have left my laptop charger here and have tried to call and email the hotel to check. The phone connected to solely reservations, not front desk, and I never received a reply to my email. Otherwise a lovely stay

Regarding price and location you'll probably not find better offers quickly. There are however small things that could be improved. In the bathroom the tiles were loose. The bin was full with trash from the previous guest. The staff decided it is wise to clean the lobby and breakfast room during breakfast. If you don't mind some inconveniences this place is a fine budget place to stay.
