Hotel Aurora

We stayed in the aurora residence, location was great and check in staff very helpful. Upon the day of our check out. we had an early breakfast and came back to our room wide open and the house keeper surprised we scrambled to put our thing together, all the wile she crept pushing past us make it difficult to gather our things. It put a negative view to our experience.

I very selfishly post this, as I want to keep it all to myself! Second time here and wish I could go EVERY summer. (Too crowded on Amalfi now, with very ugly, rude tourists with no class, very unfortunate). They treat you like family. I arrived early Salvatore welcomed me. He had made an amazing cold pasta for the staff for lunch and brought over huge plate to me. The pasta was absolutely delicious and was extremely kind of him, and greatly appreciated. Giuseppe is an amazing front desk concierge, ALWAYS helpful, with a smile on his face. Gerarda is a new manager, she too was extremely helpful, warm and welcoming. Andrew (the Brit) and Gaetano handled the lovely, delicious, breakfast. They also willingly assisted in my being a pain and asking that my personal water bottle be filled with lots of ice each day. They ALWAYS had a smile and a Buongiorno! Thereza who works in the kitchen was the same. A Buongiorno and smile every morning! Antonio the porter was pleasant and quick to assist in any way. Davido the lifeguard was quick to set up chairs and umbrellas at the beach, ensuring you were seated exactly where you wanted to be, also ensuring you were comfortable while making sure you didn’t drown. I even pestered him to put sunscreen on my back which he very professionally and kindly did for me. They ALL treat you like gold, they are great conversationalists and make the stay even more pleasant. They give amazing recommendations too. Then ask how it was the day after (they remember). Housekeeping was very helpful and accommodating. They insured I had the towels and toiletries I needed knowing that I take two showers or more per day, especially when is as hot as it is when I was there. In fact, they are so good and HONEST, I left a tip a few times and they did not take it. When I spoke to the front desk they told me they would not take any Euros unless it was explicitly clear that it was for them as a tip. Andrea!! The hotel manager, has the patience of a saint. I probably sent him 50 emails before my stay and he ALWAYS answered promptly, in a kind, understanding manner. I miss them all. I hope to go back when Amalfi is not as crowded. Another amazing stay! Grazie mille to all of you! Con molto amore Again, I really wish I could keep this as my secret, so I begrudgingly write this, because they are great and I want to ensure I have room the next time I go!
