Wasn't a great hotel, went to this hotel with my mate "Dan" who also reviewed and 1 stared it. First of all, when we arrived they said that we have to pay €60 city tax at the end and the beds weren't the most comfortable, the continental breakfast was a joke and the area was pretty rough and to top that at the end we were charged €75 for the city tax, €15 more than we were told. This can't be a 4-star hotel because I've been to 3-star hotels with better rooms, beds, and breakfast.

Just returned from a stay in the Best Roma. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, I would suggest 3 stars at most. However, the owners were very helpful, the hotel and the rooms were clean. Bathrooms were OK. Rooms are on the small side and the rooms, we were in, had a wardrobe, but there was no drawer space. Also no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was continental and was adequate. Some of the dining room photographs shown on their website bore no resemblance to reality. Bar was not stocked fully, they had no mixers for anyone wanting a gin & tonic etc.

The only thing that was good about the hotel was the nice and helpful front desk staff, the location isn’t great but not terrible neither. The rooms were cramped, dirty and lacked air because there were no windows. The bedsheets and towels were seemingly not cleaned once despite being their for 5 days, the towels smelled very bad despite looking like freshly washed. We had no warm water and the water pressure was awful. The sink and its table support were collapsing and being detached from the wall, around the shower area mold was visible. To add even more, the hotel has an official 4 star rating but no warm breakfast, no kettle or an ironing kit. It doesn't even offer water bottles.To make things worse there was a presence of insects such as small spiders, flies and bugs. One small detail to add is that dont leave your small belongings in the room such as pills because the staff will throw it away Overall i really wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone unless there is an emergency, it claims to be 4 stars but i can barely give it a 2 star. For the price it’s possible to find 5 star hotels or better 4 star hotels even closer to the city, unfortunately the hotel decision was not in our hands otherwise we would have gone somewhere else.

This Hotel is without a double the worst I have ever stayed. Firstly it's in a dogey area with graffiti all over the buildings. Didn't feel safe to walk out even for a walk after dinner. Very very dirty street. The hotel is in need of repairs and maintenance the photos on the website are not current. We had mould on the walls in the bathroom and the shower blocked up everytime. Bath/ shower combo which was hard to get in and out, slippery. We had 3 nights and it was not worth the stay with no hot water for a shower on the last morning so we left to catch a train without showering. Breakfast was ordinary, not much of a choice no hot choices at all. The pastries looked like they were left overs from the day before. No kettle or cofffee facilities just 1 bottle of water and 1 mineral water In the fridge. Air conditioner couldn't regulate properly and uncomfortable at night. When I asked for a coke they didn't have any just Fanta. The only nice thing I can say is that it's close to all the tourist attractions, colesium, fontana di trevi. Front staff were helpful however others didnt even greet or smile. The experience was not good and had I not already paid I would have moved somewhere else. I would not recommend this Hotel, its a hostel not a Hotel. Its at the bottom end of cheap and nasty.
