The hotel has an excellent location. Almost opposite the Santa Lucia train station. The place is old, but it fits very well with the atmosphere of Venice. Our room was small, simple, but very clean and with a view of one of the small canals. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was perfect, especially the cream croissants. Points for improvement: the minibar in the room was not working. The staff needs to pay more attention to replacing food at breakfast. At 9am there were no more cups for coffee, bread, milk and we had to wait to eat. Highlights include the service provided by the Reception team, especially Francisco, who works nights and gave us a warm welcome and provided us with all assistance in a very good mood. Excellent location! I will certainly be back!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. My friend and I stayed here in december. The staff are absolutely wonderful, not only are they pleasant and friendly at reception but the chef went above and beyond for me, getting all sorts of vegan goodies for my breakfast from the super market when he found out I couldn't partake in most of the buffet. There was no mould, no smell, no safety risks.

unpleasant and overpowering old and sweet air freshener smell in the hotel (had to open window to sleep and air out the room but smell still lingering). rooms are old with antique design and some parts dirty but that was not a problem. shower was scuffed with shabby shower head but there was hot water. suspiciously good breakfast. cant beat it for the price

Although the hotel is very old, it did what it says on the tin. It was clean, beds were extremely comfortable, however the only downfall was breakfast which was a bit chaotic. The location was awesome. We were in room 106 which offered excellent veiws. We would stay there again for a short break.Couldn't have been in a better spot. It was great value for money. It wasn't 5* but there again, it didnt claim to be and didn't cost 5* prices.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. My wife and I stayed here in November. There was no mould, no smell, no safety risks. After I made our booking, I read the reviews and was nervous about what it might be like... But honestly I think some people just like to complain/look for problems.
