What an amazing place! I've never stayed anywhere that combines plenty of luxury but with such a casual laid back vibe. The lodges are large, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The staff were all happy, friendly and attentive. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and having farm animals on site to see and hear is really nice, and the staff even put fruit out to ensure there are plenty of birds to see. The hot springs are lovely, with a range of pools of different sizes and temperatures and there was always one vacant when we wandered down. Even the breakfast was fresh and tasty and served in a pretty covered area with koi pond. It's a 10 minute drive out of town, so it's a bit quieter, which is nice, and there's loads of cafes at the roadside so no need to go into town at all if you don't want to. The only negative is a little bit of road noise (we were near the front of the site) but all the hotels are arranged along the road so would be no different, and it really wasn't a problem. All in all a great place that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, and I hope to visit again.

Such an amazing place to stay during a trip to La Fortuna! The grounds are beautiful, there are several gorgeous hot springs, the farm and animals were so much fun. The rooms are individual little cottages which is awesome because you can sit on the porch and relax or let the kids play outside in the morning. I feel so lucky that we found this place and can't say enough good things about it. Would highly recommend over the larger resorts in the area.

Our family just returned from spending two nights here and we wished we could have stayed much much longer! Cabins were comfortable, spacious, and clean. The pools, stemming from the volcanic hot springs, were private and luxurious. We enjoyed drinks made at the poolside bar and felt like we were in our own private spa! We chose to eat all of our meals at the hotel's restaurant, and the staff treated us like family! Everything was delicious! Our teenagers enjoyed the farm; the farmer and gardener were so friendly and welcoming! We learned much about natural remedies and truly loved the laid back, stress-free atmosphere! We've stayed at many places in Arenal over the years, but El Silencio del Campo will definitely be a repeat!

I stayed here 2 nights and the place is amazing. There are 7 pools in total with 3 hot springs and a Jacuzzi. The breakfast was free and was made to order which is surprising for a hotel. The dinner was nice, but a little pricey. I prefer to order from the bar menu (nachos are amazing). The best part was the customer service. Every issue or request I had was quickly attended to by a staff member and they were all nice. This is highly recommend by me.

Very happy for having chosen this hotel next to the Volcano. 24 bungalows in total, it looks like a small estate, with their own farm, gardens and hot springs. Everything is spot on clean. We loved the tour of the garden, the man tending it is so passionate about it, explained us all about how organic farming and permacultures function (showed us pineapples, coffee seeds, cocoa, curcuma). There’s a farm with peacocks, chickens, cows,etc. And the hot springs are just so beautiful! We could stay in there for days. We had a beautiful stay here with our toddler.
