This hotel has a great location. Nice breakfast and there's a lot of things to do in the neighborhood. The only thing that stood out was that there was no elevator in the wing section of the hotel. Also there is only one sauna which is shared between men and women and therefore it might not appeal to all the guests but it was a quite good sauna.

We stayed at Hotel Hasselbacken Aug 11 -15, 2023. We couldn't have asked for a better stay! The staff were so kind and accommodating. They would offer me tea or coffee if I was sitting in the lobby, and there was always ice water with lemons & limes. They helped us figure out how best to get places (which probably saved us a lot of money!). Breakfast was delicious and fresh, and the location was fantastic. The corner room was a great layout for a family of 4. The location was great, with multiple major sites walking distance, and transit access was easy. Yes you can hear the screams from the amusement park across the street, but they shut down at 10pm, so not disruptive for sleeping. The room was clean, but the walls could use a scrub - They were a bit grungy around the door frame. The building and furnishings were beautiful. Hopefully some day we'll make it back to Sweden, and stay here again!

Clean spacious rooms with nice breakfast alongside. On one of the more quieter islands of Stockholm with a lot of museums and theme park near by. The cheap ferry/taxi is the best way to get to the old town and other islands

Visited Hasselbacken's restaurant which serves up a Julbord (Swedish Christmas buffet). The spread of food at ~800 SEK was worthwhile and we were treated to a large traditional Christmas feast. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Christmas ham (Julskinka) at the cold cuts section. The ham was cooked perfectly, thinly sliced, each slice with a signature fatty top layer that was enjoyable with the lean meat. It went perfectly with the 3 different mustard sauces. Other good dishes were the chicken liver pate, cold cuts of roast deer, pancetta and root fruits. The buffet had 6 - 7 different styles of marinated herring (sill) and warm small cooked potatoes as accompaniment. There were also staples of meatballs (venison, pork, vegan), pork belly, sausages, prinskorv, janssons frestelsen (including a gluten-free version), smoked, marinated salmon, breads, biscuits, cheese and a number of other festive foods. It's an impressive spread. In a different room are cakes, sweets, chocolates and desserts. The spread is simple and ok as a meal closure. Throughout our seating, the staff worked hard and efficiently to make sure that plates were cleared fast, food topped up, guests assisted and the presentation kept clean. Much appreciation to the staff who were key to our wonderful festive meal here. The ambiance of the restaurant is classic although a little old, it exudes an old-fashioned classy atmosphere that is family friendly.
