Lovely hotel, room was really nice and relaxing. Beds were so comfortable I didn't want to get up! Breakfast was great, lots of choice, including various cereals, pastries and the cooked York breakfast was delicious! Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend 👍

Recently stayed here for a night while visiting York, hotel is really well located within walking distance of the town. Due to its location there is no car park however you have a 10 minute grace period to drop off bags on the road to the side of the hotel. Despite checking in around 1pm all the hotel spaces in the nearest car park were already taken but the reception staff were very helpful in pointing out the most convenient ones not just the closest ones. Breakfast was very good if a bit chaotic when we went down, maybe because a lot of people turned up at the same time. But orders were taken quickly and the food that came out swiftly was really tasty. Rooms were really nicely decorated, beds were really comfortable little extras like water, coffee machine, biscuits and mince pie was a nice touch. We were initially given a room with an adjoining door but after asking at reception they sourced us another one on the same floor very quickly with no fuss. Didn't use the bar but it was not particularly welcoming compared to other Hotel Indigo's we have stayed at. However if we visit York again we will return here as the rooms, location and particularly the staff were excellent.

Four of us stayed here for one night. The reception staff were fantastic and helped us out a lot when we had some changes to the booking. We ate out but came back for drinks and the service was great. Parking is available a few minutes walk but it's limited to first come first served basis with another car park next to it which is pay and display. Would definitely stay here again

We stayed for 1 night after our 2 night stay was cut short by an emergency at home. The staff were very professional and sympathetic. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Shambles and the main shopping areas making it ideal for a city break however it is about 25 minutes walk to the train station. The hotel is very modern and well presented throughout and all staff we encountered were very friendly. The room was spacious and well appointed with welcome chocolates and biscuits provided which was a lovely touch. The room was spotless and well maintained. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good with a wide selection and it was lovely. I highly recommend this hotel.
