Fun and clean hotel. Hip Cosmo Vegas vibe. Great location between the beach and downtown. Fire pit, hot tub, and pool are great. On site bar/restaurant Solaire has good food and excellent bar service from an artisan bartender. Pet friendly, but had no issues with any dogs or barking. The 2 Queen room is a little tight. Mattress was a bit soft for me. Parking on site for $25 a day or park for free around the neighborhood if you want to look for it. Friendly and helpful front desk staff Miles and Dallas. There was a miscommunication regarding a request for housekeeping services but Christian rectified quickly and it was really appreciated. Fruit in the gym. Purified water machines. Good Starbucks coffee in room. Nice lobby for working on laptop. The gym is a joke. A great value at under $150/night.

This place was so spectacular with its amazing interior and hotel room comforts. The staff was helpful and friendly. The pool is heated! So close to downtown activities and restaurants. We had dinner at their restaurant and the food was good and decently priced. Loved their drink selection the most, got a tasty mocktail! Would definitely stay again, but would like to see them not carry Starbucks in their hotel. I understand how contracts work, but consider not renewing when there are amazing local coffee places to better support.

Location is central, but rooms are small and you can hear everything. Was surprised at how many people were in the pool in the middle of winter til late at night. For the price I feel like the showers/bathrooms could be nicer, and the soundproofing needs serious work. However the bed was comfortable and overall the room was clean. 3 stars just for the cramped rooms and noise suppression issues, only stayed one night ***updated bc even tho I was charged erroneously(twice) each time I called to fix the issue the staff was extremely friendly and helpful

I travel quite often for work and when I am in the Santa Cruz / Monterey area, I always stay at the Paradox. The menu in the restaurant is good, the rooms are comfortable, the pool area is GREAT ! with that said, the main reason I keep returning is the staff (Especially Jeff at the bar and restaurant). I always get treated like I am a VIP - and I notice that they treat everyone that way. Definitely stay here, you won't be disappointed!!

I recently stayed here for 1 night with my husband and our dog. We got a king-bed room on the 1st floor that faced the parking lot instead of the pool which is what the front desk recommended when I asked for a quieter room. The check-in service was excellent. The hotel lobby has been recently updated, there is a water bottle filling station, nice restaurant, pool & hot tub outside, fitness center. The room was a good size, batheroom was big, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location of the hotel is great, maybe an 8 minute walk to Downtown or rent one of the B cycles and bike around the whole town on the bike path. If I come back to Santa Cruz, I'd stay here again.
