Nice little spot in Santa Cruz. Price is good. My room was nice and clean. The rainfall shower head sucked. Water came from maybe half of the little holes and they spryed in what ever direction they wanted. Mattress not so great either. Fire alarm at 430 am was a nice touch as well. Over all, very nice place. I'm sure my experience isn't the norm. 3.75 ☆

SO CUTE! We took the attic room and loved it. It’s perfect as a spot to stash your things and then an easy walk to the boardwalk and so many other great Santa Cruz locations. AC worked well, even had a cute rooftop window! Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff were very friendly and supplied a coffee bar. Highly recommend this spot!

The Rio Vista is beautifully restored. The rooms are well kept and the drink bar/fridge are so convenient. The location is walking distance to downtown, the wharf, and the boardwalk. Can't beat the location. David is very welcoming and quick to help! He was always available day and night. He's very professional and has a great attitude!

I had an amazing experience here and David was so kind to provide the late check in info to allow me time to continue to watch the sunset on my road trip as I came into town. The rooms are phenomenal. I was in room 3 with the tub with jets… needed for 3 week road trip I’ve been on. Only suggestion I have is the pillows to be swapped out as they seemed a bit warn and uncomfortable. Other than that, best place I’ve stayed at in 3 weeks! Thank you!
