Very close to town and activities. Front desk will help you book any last minute tours. The hotel is about a five minute walk away from the best rope swing ever! The staff is all incredibly kind. Rooms are very basic and there isn't really any hot water but the view out the back onto the gardens is nice. They do have a river walk out back as well.

Such a nice place, well away from the traffic & noise of La Fortuna & still just a short walk (1.5km) away. The river is just behind the hotel, 2-5min behind. The service is personal & really sweet. We felt home & were welcome all the time. It's not cheap, but much cheaper than the big resorts & offers good value for money.

We had such an amazing time here and it was breathtaking. We had the forest room and they took such good care of us. Family owned and made you feel like you are part of the family. Breakfast is amazing. We had two nights here and then we were supposed to have three more at the hot springs. One night at the hot springs and we came running back to stay the remainder of our time in La fortuna. That’s how much we loved it. They booked tours for us. Took care of our laundry and we had beautiful trails right outside our room. Balcony was so serene as you are literally backed into a forest. We will definitely be back

2/5 Wouldn’t recommend this place unless you paid no more than $120USD per night. We paid much more and were disappointed. Rooms were small, stuffy without proper storage/closet. There were issues with hot water, wifi, one could wish for cleaner sheets and towels. Breakfast is not included in the room price and is not tasty comparing to all other places we stayed in.
