We booked this hotel because of the location and planned out the whole trip around it. Shortly before arriving, I was concerned about some previous reviews about being moved to a different hotel. I emailed and confirmed our reservation, and all was good. When we arrived, we were told we were at one of their other 5 properties. When I told them I had confirmed and this was the hotel we wanted to stay at, I was told very passionately that it was not a big deal, this was just 1 of their 5 hotels and was quickly dismissed. After waiting an hr for the car to transport us, the new location was a 20 min drive from the old. Not near any of the sites we had booked tours with. The new location was on a loud, busy corner. As I walked in, I was inappropriately approached by an intoxicated man. The room was small, with no AC. It was not an equivalent hotel to what we booked. We tried to call down to reception to get instructions on the AC, and the phone didn't work in our room. When they would do nothing to help us, we left and went to a different property. Understanding we'd lose at least 1 night's stay, we thought we would get refunded on the other 3 nights. We have been told that without a "signed" checkout form, we will get no refund. The people serving us in the hotel were good people who did their best- but this business structure is dishonest and unethical, and I would not recommend anyone book at Hotel Rinascimento.

Not a 4 star hotel. The room was ok, but small bathroom, bed very hard. Did not sleep good here. Woke up several times. Breakfast was disgusting. I ate here just one morning, and the girl worked here was not hygienic, when she handle fork and knives. Had dirty fingers (did not wash hands between things she did) and in one moment, she managed to had them in her whole hand laying them down to they'r guest again. That's so nasty. And did not fill up any food in time. Did not say hello, ask you if you want coffee or something. Not good vibes in this hotel. The girl worked alone, and was stressed all the time. This is not worth the money. Expensive. Also to mention, they'r taxi service is really expensive. 75 euro to and from airport. One way. So, 150 euro both ways. 110 euro in evening/night. Normal taxi, 50 euro. Maybe this is 2 or 3 star. The only good thing about this hotel, was location. I will unfortunately, not coming back to this hotel.

Very unpleasant lady in the reception. Ordered breakfast as a room service at 7 am before the early departure. At 7.05 i called the reception to ask whether it is coming, got a reply it will be there in 2 min. At 7.16 there was still no breakfast, so i called her again and she was super annoyed, not even being aware about the time it was and how late the order was. Finally breakfast arrived at 7.20 and it was uneatable. Very poor quality. For going to the aiport the reception convinced me to use their service instead of the official city tax. Their service is 1.5 times the price of the official cabs. They claimed their cars are reliable and never late - well, the car arrived late and the driver was texting/calling all the way, without using headset, being totally distracted. We fest very unsafe and stressed the whole way.

First time reviewing. Only bad hotel experience on our Europe trip.This is a scam.We had been warned about this place but after emailing them, decided to stay for our anniversary anyway. Bad idea! Wasted half a day waiting around to be transferred to a different hotel on the other side of town from where we wanted to stay. Horrible mattress in a tiny room with no AC. Ask the front desk for another room and even offered to pay more for an upgrade. They were not interested in helping until we were back at the front door with our bags to leave. Found a beautiful room at the 47 Hotel. Dont stay here - you will be dissapointed.

PROS: Roger was awesome. Staff was great. Located steps away from all the central Rome sites to see. Room cleaned everyday. NEUTRAL: Cost a night was slightly higher than worth/value of room CONS: AC Worked but never turned off and would stay set at 19C. Was freezing all night. Mattress sucked. Very springy hard and lumpy. Showers sooo small. I’m not large by any means and managed to hit my elbows twice and head once.
