Personally I don't mind the hostel type setting especially because it has very good wifi. ... Don't have anything to compare it to seeing my first time in south America but the price is right and the internet is fast so I'm happy. ...

Only good enough for probably one night. The rooms are very small, no room for suitcases. Only two towels in the bathroom, no towel for hands or anything. The breakfast is toast (more like just warm bread) with jam and butter, tiny little 1/4 cup of orange juice and eggs.. However, the lady only asked my dad if he wanted eggs. Never looked at me. When she brought the scrambled eggs over ( more like only one egg), she only brought enough for him. When i asked her for some as well she just looked at me and walked away. Never brought more. So i get a bite from my dads eggs and they're completely cold. Mind you, 30 seconds had passed since they were placed on the table. When my dad went to the kitchen to ask if he could microwave them or something, they gave him a hard time with it. The place itself is pretty clean. But i was still iffy about showering there or stepping off my bed with no shoes or sandals. Like i said, good enough for probably one night.

Great location with friendly and helpful reception staff. Not much of an atmosphere. In an old building which could do with some TLC but otherwise clean and tidy. Breakfast is included though inconsistent: tea/coffee (Nescafe coffee sachet), tiny glass of juice, 1 egg (scrambled or fried, though sometimes you get what you ordered the day before whether you want it or not!), marmalade, butter, 3 slices of toast (not really toast - just heated bread. If lucky, one side of one piece may actually be toasted! ). Website says they offer laundry service, but they do not and instead I was given a flyer to a laundry service some distance away. TVs in rooms and although cable TV, not many channels have programs in English, which is unusual compared with other SA countries. Phones in rooms, which may be handy. More suited to a stay of 3 days or fewer.

In fact this seems to be a big cheat and the scandal that someone from Chilean autjorities agreed to register this place as a hotel and apart from it it is advertised as a 3 star one. Apart from centric location it does not comply with any basic standards that the hotel should have. First of all there is no heating in the room which I cannot imagine in a citywhere the temperatures during the night can fall down below 0 degrees. Apart from ir there is a problem with hot water - it is rather cold, in fact. No safe to guard valuables, part of the furniture requires changing and apart from it - initilly I was given a room without any window which was changed after a strong protest by my side. Breakfast very basic and unfortunately consists of products containing sugar. Part of the staff (the older lady) careless and disrespectful towards the guests.
