The Hotel Schani Salon is a wonderful boutique hotel in an upscale shopping district in Vienna. We had a wonderful stay at the Schani! Each room is unique in decor. The bathroom and shower are upscale and elegant. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but still comfortable and cozy. The breakfast service offered was a great way to start the day, and the coffee machine in the lobby had an overwhelming variety of choices, available all day long. The staff was very helpful in local restaurant recommendations. The location is along an upscale retail strip (no cars), and conveniently located to the local subway system. We used Uber rides, and simply selected the nearest (50 yards) intersection where cars could arrive.

My partner and I booked to stay at the Hotel Schani Salon based on the online reviews for a long weekend in Vienna, We decided to book the Hotel Schani Salon as all of the reviews seemed overwhelmingly positive! I wish I had viewed some of the photos online, however the reviews where so positive on here and other sites that we decided to book. We stayed for three nights with our room including the buffet breakfast, For anyone considering booking this hotel, Please be aware that "hotel" should be used to describe this accommodation very loosely, It is more like a serviced apartment. More like a serviced apartment, not a hotel as over one floor in a shared communal building overlooking very busy high street opposite Pull & Bear. Noisy, Overpriced, 22 Euros each for breakfast of a stale croissant and orange juice, Would never stay at this hotel again. We booked due to the positive reviews we found online, however this is more of a serviced apartment than a hotel with no facilities and very narrow claustrophobic rooms with everything on one floor (Receptionist goes and heats up the frozen croissants in the open kitchen down the hallway), Not a relaxing or enjoyable place to stay!

It has been a great stay, I have felt very comfortable and cared for at all times, the staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The location of the hotel is perfect, very well connected to the center and all the points of interest and attractions of the city.

Overall really nice experience, although I’m surprised the rating is so high. It’s not as outstanding as you’d think by reading the other reviews on here. Two things I would strongly recommend to management: 1. Get better pillows. They truly are so bad. Need some with more structure, as I had to use 3 to actually prop my head up, and even then I was sinking. 2. Upgrade the TVs. For non-German speaking guests (which I assume is a lot), there’s nothing to watch except the news. Need TVs that are compatible with Netflix etc. Not sure I’d stay again but nice experience. Great location.

I didn't stay at the hotel, but I made an effort to stay. There is a lot of snow on the way to Vienna, my battery is low and since I am driving, I wanted to write the days I will stay and the number of people via voice command via WhatsApp and make a reservation. But THEY NEVER HELPED. They constantly redirect to websites. Sharing room price information shouldn't be this difficult. If I could go into that much detail, why would I write to you? They were never helpful.
