Perfectly adequate, but a little odd in various respects. Bedrooms lack power sockets by the bed. No Aircon means hot in summer and you have to ask the front desk for a fan and a kettle for tea in your room. Even the Nespresso coffee machine is not free. Despite the pleasant and efficient service the place just feels rather sterile and uninviting.

The hotel stay fell far short of expectations, and I strongly discourage anyone from considering it. The staff's behavior was both unprofessional and prejudiced. To begin with, our room was not cleaned daily during our stay. When we inquired about this, we were told that the cleaning staff was too occupied and focused on rooms that were being checked out. This was particularly concerning as we had a 7-month-old daughter who was crawling in the room. On top of this, we encountered two cockroaches in the room. When we brought this issue to the reception, the response was aggressive and dismissive. The receptionist vehemently denied that the insects were cockroaches, despite us showing them a picture. This receptionist even claimed that such insects were common in the summer and harmless for kids, citing their presence in her own home. I reached out to my family doctor in the Netherlands to verify the receptionist's claims. The doctor confirmed that these were German cockroaches (Ectobius vittiventris), and they are carriers of diseases like salmonella and E. coli, which can lead to food poisoning and gastrointestinal issues. Furthermore, these cockroaches can trigger allergies and asthma, especially in children. Upon checkout, the receptionist insisted once again that the insects were harmless and engaged in a conversation with her supervisor in German, accompanied by unprofessional facial expressions. It was clear she was being dishonest about the situation. To avoid further interactions with this prejudiced receptionist, we left the premises immediately.

Room was missing towels , pillow and was super hot. No AC or fan. It was just horrible couldn't get good rest. Will never stay at this place again. Lady at front told me ownership knows but don't care.

The positives: very clean and attractive room, view of the lake is lovely, breakfast was very good. The negatives: if you are arriving by car, this hotel will be fine--plenty of parking and easily accessible. However if you are coming by train, they tell you it is a 7 minute walk. It took me more than 15 minutes. It is all downhill from the train, but very steeply downhill. Which of course will mean a long, completely uphill walk back to the train later. There is a bus, and it is a quick ride, it just only runs once an hour. The hotel is in a neighborhood. It is a 10 minute walk down to the lake, but again remember it will then be a 10 minute steeply uphill walk back. The hotel only serves dinner if you reserve ahead. they will not book you in at the last minute--in fact they close if nobody reserves by noon.
