SCAM!! SCAM!! Please don’t go in this hotel, rooms are not like the same what it’s been shown in the pictures. Receptionist is very rude and they don’t have reception counter in the hotel. You have to travel to different hotel for front desk. No room service, no housekeeping. Room is full of mosquitoes. Carpet in the hotel is like it’s been not cleaned since 10 years. Specially I request all the people and specially Indians not to visit, not upto the mark at all. You can get better room deals in different hotel.

Used my card ONE time in Miami and it was at this hotel. IMMEDIATELY after I paid the hidden hotel charge after I booked DIRECTLY through them, I started receiving fraudulent charges. I used a different card the entire time I was there so I know for a fact my information was stolen from this hotel. The check in was across the street. There was never a person at our hotel desk until 5 am. We got up early for an event and stayed up late the night before so I know that for a fact. No one was there when I left at 4:30am and when I came back at 5am I saw a lady, sleeping on the desk, and she never even looked up at me. I just assumed she was a bum that got in from the entrance where they were all sleeping. I know it’s Miami Beach so I overlooked all of that until my credit card information was compromised. That was the final straw. Be careful with this place.

Stay away from this place. It is in a nice position but it is literally falling apart an unsafe. When we arrived the lady at the front door told us that our door was malfunctioning so our key won't work, we had to ask somebody working there to use their own key to open our door every time. In the morning nobody was there, we waited for 20 minutes for somebody to show up, we called the number that they provide and nobody answered. We were lucky we saw the lady from the night shift, walking in the street (probably going home) and she managed to open our door. We had tour booked and we were very lucky to make it on time! In addition, during the night the fire alarm started beeping every 30 seconds (like when it needs to repalce the battery or to be cleaned, I guess they don't care about proper maintenance and safety). We contacted the front desk, they told us nothing could be done so we had to stay in the room, uncapable of sleeping for the whole night. The lady at the front desk gave us a email address to contact because she assure that we were entitle for a refund since all the problems we had. But guess what? they never replied to my emails, and when I managed to contact the place though other ways, they REFUSED to refund me! Luckily we only had one night paid, so we left as soon as we can the next day. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, SLEEPING ON THE STREET IS BETTER THAN THIS HOTEL

THE WORST! Greedy hotel and staff that doesnt get paid enough to care. Unswept floors in my room, key cards that repeatedly didnt work, staff that just ignores you when you ask something etc. The crazy part is the charge you the resort fees at the door upon arrival with ZERO warning. I stayed for 3 nights so that amounted to $85.50 out of the blue. Look, if they had let me know in advance, fine, but there was no warning whatsoever about this. Note that I had already paid for "taxes and fees" in my original booking. I stayed in other hotels in South Beach, and other places, including about 20 other countries, and never ever had this kind of experience. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW WHAT THEY GOTTA PAY BEFORE THEY ARRIVE, RIGHT? Not at the Hotel Shelley. They will charge you last minute, and if you dont wanna pay, you cant stay there. Anyways, Orbitz refunded me the $85.50 and are looking into delisting them. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Beaureu. AVOID THIS HOTEL. PLENTY OF GOOD HOTELS IN SOUTH BEACH. HOTEL SHELLEY IS NOT ONE OF THEM. attached is pic of the receipt for the additional charges
