Didn't supply a code for the lock box and alarm kept ringing in period blocks all night. No bins to place rubbish in. Floor boards lifting. Windows and window frames and seals dirty. TV not working. Breakfast was great, bed size excellent

It's good hotel. In the rooms they have little fridge, table, furniture. The offer shampoo, gel and toothbrush. The breakfast was good. Different fruits, pastries, jambon, tomates, cheese. I will definitely stay there again. Recommend.

My stay at Hotel Villa Carlos was a mixed experience, but overall, it was a good hotel with some notable highlights. Let me start with the positive aspects. The hotel offered a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere, making it a suitable choice for a relaxing vacation. The rooms were well-maintained, and the air conditioning provided much-needed respite from the warm weather outside. One of the standout features of Hotel Villa Carlos was the delicious breakfast they served each morning. A delightful array of options awaited guests, from freshly baked pastries to a variety of fruits and beverages. The breakfast spread was a great way to start the day on a positive note. However, one aspect that may be a drawback for some travelers is the hotel's location. While it was a nice retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it was quite far from the main attractions. Walking to nearby places took about 30 minutes, which could be tiresome, especially after a long day of sightseeing. On the bright side, the receptionist Vincent made a significant difference in our overall experience. He was remarkably attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Vincent was extremely knowledgeable about the local area and transportation options. Whenever we had questions about getting to and from places or needed advice on the best routes to take, he provided us with clear and concise directions. In particular, Vincent’s assistance with navigating our way to the airport was invaluable. He went above and beyond to ensure we had all the necessary information and even researched the metro times for us, making our departure stress-free. Despite the slight inconvenience of the hotel's distance from central attractions, the outstanding service provided by Vincent and the excellent breakfast made our stay at Hotel Villa Carlos enjoyable. If you're looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay with a friendly and helpful staff, this hotel could be an excellent choice for your trip. Just be prepared for a bit of walking or consider using transportation options to reach the main spots in town

Near awful experience. The hygiene is lawsuit worthy, wooden floors literally painted with transparent blobs of god only knows what, I'm pretty sure they've never been cleaned. Our room had a window on a 1.5x1.5m area, that often smelt of cigarettes and got us literally no light even though we were on the 5th floor. Cherries on top are: We left our used, dirty towels on the ground to signal need to wash. They regularly "washed" by simply picking it up and hanging it in the same usual place, the same usual way. I need to mention both towels had big, visible stains on them. Also staff is pretty rude to you, won't speak any English and you're not allowed to pack anything from the breakfast, they will literally attempt to scold you as if you were children (fully in Spanish so don't even think you're getting out of it) Please, book an Airbnb or alternatives.

We stayed here for a week and it was a great base for us to explore Valencia and beyond. Hotel itself was really comfy, the aircon worked well (especially given the 40+ degree heat outside), staff super helpful and the breakfast every morning was so good! Having a fridge in the room was also great for making sure we could keep cold bottles of water. It’s an old-ish hotel but great value for money especially at the height of summer. The location was good - not too far to walk to town, not too far to walk to the beach. Mestalla only 15mins walk too, generally a less touristy area and plenty of good places to eat nearby. Would recommend!
