This hotel was clean and super convenient for anyone needing to visit the area for medical reasons or the nearby college campuses. The hotel was clean and service was great. The best part is they offered a complimentary shuttle service in a 2 mile radius which included hospitals and the lovely Rice Village area for shops and restaurants. It was also close enough to walk to MD Anderson and other campuses as well. I would stay again.

A decent hotel with cleanliness issues: see photos of hair stuck to the shower wall, or stained bed skirts. Things were ok otherwise but there’s a handful of other choices in the area, like the Intercontinental, and we will likely go there instead next time.

This is FAR FROM A 4 STAR HOTEL! This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. The training of the staff and management are a mediocre closer to a 2 star hotel. Not only were there issues checking in at the desk but more importantly a security guard used an access card to try and come into my room! He said he was there to get a sweater left by a previous guest. No knock or anything! What kind of hotel doesn't train their staff to AT LEAST KNOCK?!! Again, supposedly a 4 star hotel? It was terribly startling to have someone trying to bust into my room without any warning. This is a scary part of town and to have someone try to enter your room is terrifying!

The stay was good, we had some hiccups but the tried to address ever complaint and all the issues were resolved. The A La Cart restaurant food was delicious and fresh. The corner room was the BEST OPTION. We had a very nice city view. The staff was nice. There is no turn about on the main street you must drive past the main entrance around the corner to pull into the hotels driveway.

Rooms, although recently renovated were filthy. Our first room had stains all over the top of the comforter (how did cleaning miss that?) so they moved us to a second room. The second room’s toilet had stains all over it and the front desk “made a note of it.” We opted to get cleaning wipes ourselves and take care of it. The first impression of this hotel is all you need to know: the lobby smells persistently of vomit. I know that sounds like an exaggeration…but I mentioned it to our group and everyone agreed.
