This was a close by hotel for the national championship game (go Blue!). Staff checking me in couldn’t be more accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately the rooms had a terrible odour. Musty and a hint of pee. Once you get past that, the room was comfortable, with a decent mattress. But overall very dated. The only real highlight was sitting at the bar and chatting and being taken care of by the excellent bartender Zander. That man made my trip and is the only reason I might ever stay at this hotel again.

Update: We were moved to another room and the front desk was accommodating I love the decor of the hotel. The first desk staff was accommodating our first night. We had to change rooms a couple of times due to the tub being dirty and stains on the furniture and then the shower didn’t work well. There is construction and we weren’t made aware of how it would impact our stay. It sounds like they are going to come through the ceiling. We are staying here while renovations are being done on our home so that we had a quiet place to work and rest. Called the front desk and was told I could come work at the bar. Changing rooms to a lower floor wasn’t given as an option. Likely would not stay here again but the aesthetics are nice.

I stayed here because I was going to MD Anderson Cancer Center. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Transportation to and from the center could not have been easier. The room accommodations were perfect with a small fridge, a microwave, iron with ironing board and a hairdryer. Very clean place with a very decent breakfast every morning included. If I had to go back to Houston I would definitely stay there again.

i booked this hotel because it’s in walking distance to the stadium. it was definitely once a holiday inn or something that was converted. they’ve added modern decor but the hotel still feels dirty and smells moldy. the carpet in the room was moist :/ the worst part of the hotel is the front desk staff. misha, who i believe is the manager was super nice with answering my questions before i got to the hotel. but the rest of the staff are just not friendly and are really bothered by any questions you might have. where’s the hospitality?
