I will give 2 stars to give the benefit of the doubt to the hotel, since I paid 85€ to get there from the airport (and not 50€ as was indicated on google, perhaps because it was late? Anyways do yourself a favor and catch the train) and I had to wake up super early to catch a train so I was not well predisposed to be positive. We were only passing through Lyons and had an early train in the morning, this lodging was chosen due to its location and good price mainly (60€). Anyways, I agree with many of the reviews here, the rooms are extremely tiny, the bed is comfortable but too small for 2 people and the pillows are too big for the size of the bed. And when you find ear plugs next to your bed it is an indicator of what is to come - a sleepless night because the air-conditioner (or whatever) is noisy. Additionally you cannot regulate the temperature from your room. - you have to tell reception (we were told at arrival). The cherry on the cake was that there wasn’t enough liquid soap to wash in the shower. Personnel was courteous. I would suggest to lodge here if you must, if you are just passing through and if you find a good deal. Would definitely not recommend for a long stay. We took the no breakfast option so can’t comment on that.

Small rooms. Convenient to the railroad station but not much of a neighborhood. Passing trains were not an issue in my room but others in my group said they were awoken by them.

The room was small but adequate. However there were broken tiles on the bathroom floor, the toilet flush had a crack in it. The air conditioning was exceptionally noisy, even with ear plugs. I struggled to sleep. The hairdryer was also broken. Staff at reception were great and really helpful when I asked for extra pillows a hairdryer and an extra bottle of water, as only one bottle was supplied between two people. I would say skip the breakfast, as the morning staff are not overly quick at topping things up, so maybe just go out for breakfast as there is not a lack of places to eat nearby. The location is great very close to the station and metro, so easy to get around. I will not be doing a repeat visit to this hotel.

I do not understand the negative reviews of this place. This is a three star hotel, don't expect it to be the Ritz in London?? The woman on reception was very welcoming and helpful. She took my bags before check-in. Breakfast was really good, nice selection of juices, cheeses, coffees and bread. Room was comfortable and decent size, shower was really practical and warm. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Lyon. PS the person who said this hotel is a 20 mins walk from the train station must have been lost, it takes 5 mins
