I knew this hotel wouldn’t be fancy but it was worse than expected. Upon check-in, the member of staff at reception seemed very nervous and quite unwelcoming. The hotel smelt and the decor was dark. My chamber (as their rooms are called) was on the top floor - no lift, just steep, winding stairs. The hallway lights automatically switch-off hence I almost missed the last step when walking down the staircase as it was pitch black - safety hazards. The hotel isn’t fit for purpose and management need to carry out a proper risk assessment. My room was small and pokey with a noisy fan. I didn’t feel 100% safe. The only good things about the hotel were the hot shower and natural light that flooded through the room given I was on top floor. My stay was for one night only which was enough for me.

I booked two nights and walked out after the first night. I have stayed in hostels around the world and never had any issues. This hostel is not fit for purpose, It was so outdated, in need of renovation. The stairs and corridor felt about to collapse. The room looked nothing like the photos. The mattress needs to be thrown away, I could feel the springs when trying to sleep. I could see what appeared to be blood splatter stains above the bedroom sink tiles. Awful smell coming from the bedroom pipes. There was still cigarette but ashes on the window sill. I didn't feel safe, I could hear lots of movement throughout the night. Cheap means the bare basic, not a disaster. Avoid unless you want a horror movie experience.

I see a lot of people leaving bad reviews and I think it’s unwarrented. It all depends on what you are after. If you’re looking for a fancy and romantic room in the center of paris with views of the eiffel tower, maybe this is not for you. On the other hand, if you are a traveller and you are looking for a clean bed to sleep at night, a mega friendly hostel atmosphere with cool people and awesome stories, then this place is absolutely perfect. 100% would recommend!

Warning! Please do not believe the positive reviews! This place is so horrible! The pictures are not true, now the rooms looks like garbage! Dirty and it smell like urine! Please boycott such a place that they learn to respect people! They receive the money before you see the room so there is no chance that you change your mind! 1 star is also way more than they deserve! I'll report them on other traveling Platform as well!
