I realize this hotel is in an old building so space is limited. But I expected more seating area when I booked a premium double. The website photos show a sitting area with a couch but all my premium room had was an uncomfortable hard chair and a footstool at the foot of the bed. Space for two luggage bags was practically non-existent. It was impossible to take a shower standing up as it was built under an angled ceiling and was only about 5'4" headroom. Had I booked a standard room I would have no complaints but not when paying extra for "premium ".

We had a wonderful stay. The people at the hotel were helpful and friendly. The location was fantastic and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It's a bit noisy because of the excellent location in the middle of things.

Location is perfect! You couldn’t get better. Rooms are a good size and bathrooms quite adequate. If your room is on the street side and it can be noisey. The lift is also quite small and slow but apart from that - great! Worth it for the location. Don’t bother with breakfast. The boulangeries around the place are magnifique!

I am sorry to be so negative but this is a truly hideous hotel. From the bleak glass-door security-camera entryway to the dismal narrow corridors to the ghastly bad-college-dorm-room accommodations, this is a place that will make you very sad. We had a “superior” room. It was tiny and unpleasantly laid out with the toilet in its own closet, separate from the rest of the bathroom. The bedside tables are steel plates bolted to the wall with attacked light fixtures. There was no place to put our two small suitcases. The decor seems to be built for security with most furniture attached to the walls. In my 20s when I stayed in hostels and 1-star hotels I would have found this room oppressive. This hotel somehow got listed in Rick Steves and I feel nothing but pity for anyone who gets lured in. We were very lucky—we escaped after one unpleasant night and checked into the lovely an eccentric Boutik Hotel just down the street. I can’t recommend that place highly enough. Room 10 if you can get it.

Not big, cozy room. Comfortable mattress and pillows. BUT! There are a lot of cobwebs on the ceiling. It was very unpleasant to wake up in the morning, open your eyes, and there was a cobweb on top.(( - 2 points ... There is no limit to perfection! But still, this is an excellent location, only 10 minutes walk from the parking lot, by the way, the car was parked in the Parking de l'hôtel de ville from 15pm to 9am the next day and cost with a hotel discount of almost €5.
