I stated in an ibis before in Paris and although it was a budget hotel it was quite lovely and nice. The Ibis Blackfriars was not the same. The rooms are small and look like student housing. The mattress is an exposed and worn and has a topper which serves as the actual bed. The bathroom is a step up and a slightly large version of an airplane bathroom. There is no storage and hangers are on a metal exposed bar. On top of that, you are only provided only 2 pillows and 2 towels … no hand towels. While I stayed there was construction which was never mentioned and they were nice enough tho change me to another floor, but unfortunately that did not help. They also lost my pajamas and even though I would go ask every morning, it didn’t appear that anyone cared to really look for them. Nice staff but I will not be staying there again. It’s more like a hostel than a hotel.

Not as good a stay as last time. Room clean and good for your needs but noisy due to building site next door. Breakfast is good with lots of choice. Reception welcoming on arrival and departure but most of the staff need to cheer up and not treat you like your an inconvenience to them.

Great hotel, location made finding it and getting to various locations in the city really easy. We were allowed to check in a little early and received great service from the team. 2 days out of our stay we chose to have breakfast, there was a good selection of options available, only thing that was missing was decaffeinated tea. If we visit London again we would look to stay in the same hotel. I would like to call out the great service we received from Iko, nothing was too much trouble for him. Keep up the good work!

The location of the hotel is very convenient, less than a minute away from the Southwark tube station. It's very close to Tate Modern and you can easily walk to the main tourist attractions. There are also very nice restaurants nearby. The room was clean and warm I appreciated the complementary biscuits. The bathroom in the room was a bit awkward: it seems to be a module installed in the room. There was no towel for hands or face, just two big towels for the shower and one for the feet. The shower was convenient as it didn't make the floor wet. The hair dryer was very good, not one of those weak hotel hair dryers that takes forever to dry the hair. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was kind and helpful.
