The hotel was well located and within walking distance to shops and restaurants etc. However, the room was quite small with the bed pushed hard up against one wall, meaning one of us has to climb into bed from the foot rather than slide in from the side. If it were just one person, not a problem. My wife was less than impressed. On a more positive note, the staff were great - very friendly, attentive and happy to go the extra mile for us. Would I stay there again? Sure, but only if I were a solo traveller in that particular room.

Conveniently located smack bang in the middle of Sydney CBD, Ibis Sydney World Square has been perfect for our needs every time we visit Sydney city. As a family of five this hotel enables us to have an affordable trip, and the location is little kid and teen friendly. It allows us easy access to everything we want to do: - a brief walk to the train station and light rail, so we can get anywhere we want to go - a hop, skip and jump to see shows at Capitol Theatre and Darling Harbour, plus easy access to museums, galleries, parks, aquarium, etc - a huge variety of shopping and food options right outside the door, including Chinatown, Paddy’s Markets and every other shop you can think of. While we are visiting Sydney to see the sites rather than hang out in our accommodation, we have always found the rooms more than meet our needs. Simple, well appointed, neat and tidy, they offer: - plenty of charging ports and power outlets - block-out blinds, which make it really easy to have a sleep-in after a late night - comfortable beds and quality pillows - comfortable temperature regardless of what’s going on outside - reasonably quiet - we’ve had rooms in a range of different locations and floors and have always found the rooms quiet Staff are always polite and helpful, and very responsive to needs such as providing additional toiletries or fresh towels. Also, we love the cocktails and other options on offer in the reception area, plus the 'grab and go’ menu, which has prove handy for a late night snack; and the breakfast buffet is a highlight, especially for the kids. One last thing - really appreciate the commitment to sustainability, which we have seen progressively increase across the times that we’ve used the hotel.

Good location. Bought mainly on price. Had to cancel one room. This was dealt with efficiently by the staff. Family room is fairly small - just one chair. Only 2 hooks for hanging towels. More hooks and shelves in the bathroom would have been nice. Staff always greeted us when we arrived and left. Checkin was efficient.

We recently stayed here overnight before going to a show at the nearby Capital Theatre. There was only one lift working at the time which made getting to and from our room a bit of a wait. The staff were pleasant enough POSITIVES: Located in the heart of the city Plenty of restaurants, pubs, clubs nearby 5 minute walk to Capital Theatre 5 minute walk to George street and trams 10 minute walk from Central station 10 minute walk to Chinatown and Paddy's markets NEGATIVES: TINY ROOMS. If you're just looking for some place to just put your head down for the night, then shower and leave next day, then this place is for you. It is NOT a long term stay option as the rooms are way too small. VERY LITTLE HANGING/CUPBOARD SPACE. There was one small broom like cupboard in the room. You certainly couldn't stay here for a few days and hang up your clothes as there simply isn't anywhere to hang them. DIRTY ROOM: The room really needed a good, thorough vacuum around the entire room. Seemed like house cleaning focused on the walking areas and didn't bother vacuuming the edges. FRIDGE DOOR DIDN'T SEAL PROPERLY. When we first opened it, we were greeted with a solid block of ice in the top of the fridge. It clearly isn't sealing properly, causing the build up of ice.
