We recently stayed at the Empire Vatican B & B and were thoroughly impressed by its charm and convenience. Perfectly situated just steps away from St. Peter’s Square and the Vatican Museums, this elegantly furnished B & B combines the luxury of modern amenities, like Samsung LCD TVs and free Wi-Fi, with the classic beauty of its Empire style decor. The private bathrooms in each room add a touch of comfort, and the panoramic views of Rome's historic sites are truly breathtaking. This is a nice little hotel in Vatican City within walking distance of St Peters. More affordable than most in this area.

Arrived late at the hotel, but a passcode is needed to enter. The passcode was not provided to me, so in the pouring rain I sat on the phone with the woman who owns the place, she insisted I did not have a booking there and blocked my number, I used another persons phone to send her a text of my email confirmation. It was after an hour in the rain she finally found my booking and provided the code. Very difficult check in given I was provided with no details of my check in process. Did not receive any sort of apology afterward. On top of this, super small bathroom, can barely move, and there is an envelope in the room asking for tips. Room was dirty, do not recommend.

As we have a grandchild at Bambino Gesu, we found this location suited us perfectly. Very close to my daughters apartment and close to the hospital . The rooms are quite comfortable, Inna ,the host, is super, absolutely willing to help and accomodate us as best she can, we have become habitual guests and will continue staing at Impero Vaticano Excellent for bus transportation to all parts of Rome, 400 meters from Saint Peter's Cathedral. The prices are also quite reasonable.
