Booked a standard double room for a 3 days 2 nights, the experience was pretty horrifying. Noise from the ambulance passing by and the slamming of doors in other units could be heard quite loudly. After the cleaning crew came into my room to clean on the second day, I realised that a pair of Adidas shorts was missing. I clearly remembered that I hung it with my other clothes in the wardrobe and I searched high and low for it but to no avail. I would say that the management of hotel is bad if the cleaning crew can brazenly steal from the room and the front desk provided little to no help, just said that he will try to find the shorts and call me if found. (which is ??? like the person who stole it would admit)

Very overpriced. I've stayed at better hotels for half this price. Its the most expensive place I've stayed on this trip, for a tiny room, dirty carpet floors, rude and unhelpful staff, and breakfast not included. After charging me 177 euro for a single twin bed, one night, they want ed to charge an extra 17 euro for breakfast. When I went to the receptionist to ask to fill my water bottle, he told me rudely that I have a bathtub to fill it. I asked if there was a kitchen, but he said it was closed. Why would you close a kitchen? Have some water and a coffee machine available to guests... have a place for people to warm something in the microwave. For a single bed at 177 euro, I expect a much better experience.

This is a good 3-star hotel, but I’m giving it 4 stars for quick and easy check in/out, comfortable beds/pillows and location. Despite being literally at the station, the windows are nearly sound proof, so the train noise is minimal and I didn’t have any trouble sleeping in. The decor isn’t anything special but it’s cozy enough for a few nights, no problem. The room was clean and the staff members were helpful and accommodating. Overall, a very good value for the price, especially for Freiburg.
