The location is good and very close to the main train station. The room is clean and basic even though is a bit pricey but reasonable value for money. Unfortunately, the house cleaning lady walked in the room before check out time while I was in the bathroom. It definitely was something you will never expected to be happened in a 4 stars hotel!

The hotel is neatly located near the Hamburg Train Station. I was able to check in early as the room was available; the staff were friendly and professional. The room was decent, sufficiently equipped and rather spacious. Breakfast was nice. My room was facing the main street so there could be noises here and there from sirens, but overall it was not bad.

Overall this experience was not as enjoyable as we hoped. When we checked in last night we were told about the breakfast and when my mom woke up this morning they didn't even give us coffee. Unreliable with the breakfast and I was not impressed by the shower leaking so much into the floor bad designs for the room. It was expensive and not worth 4 stars that it has

My wife and I have just stayed a very enjoyable 4 nights at the Intercity. Receptionists very polite and helpful. Room clean and comfortable with walk-in shower, fridge, and safe. Hotel restaurant only open for extensive continental breakfast, but would have appreciated at least the bar being open in the evenings, although there are plentiful restaurants around the station, and a huge number of fast food outlets on the station itself. Best thing about the hotel is the unbeatable location. It is literally just across the road from the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof), where all the local trains, U-bahn, and bus routes pass through, plus the main shops and the Binnenalster lake are just a few minutes walk away. Also, if you sign up to the hotel Rewards scheme, they give you a Pass for the length of your stay giving you free unlimited travel on all the local trains, buses, and harbour ferries. We found that to be an absolutely brilliant freebie, hopping on and off the local transport at will, although we did use one of the four hop on hop off bus tours first, to get our bearings; they all start from the main railway station.
