This is a fantastic hotel in a great location, within minutes walking distance to the city centre, shops, restaurants and also down to the water, plenty of parks around and things to do. They also own the building across the road and have a rooftop pool available for use. The rooms are great size, first issue was they gave me 2 single beds, however the wonderful service and Lady on the front desk was able to quickly find another more suitable room with a large double sized bed which was very comfortable. All the staff on-site were friendly and helpful with any requests, breakfast had a good selection of food options and juices, milks, yogurts. Although we only stayed here for 2 nights, it's definitely a great hotel and would highly recommend staying there again. Nice location. Easy walking distance to Larcomar and Avenue Larco. Breakfast was decent. I had everything I wanted. Help yourself to what you wanted. Room was cleaned every day. Staff were great and friendly. My room had a lack of power outlets. They were all in use by the items in the room. Nothing available by the desk just in the bathroom and 1 at the side of the bed where there was no table. Apart from that I was very happy with the hotel and would stay there again.

I am giving Hotel José Antonio a 5 star review because the hotel staff went above and beyond, exceeding our expectations and more, for hosting our staff meeting. Hotel staff made our stay here and hosting a large meeting a breeze. The hotel itself has a spacious meeting room on the top level (9th floor) and can provide lunch and refreshments for coffee breaks. You can also rent equipment such as a laptop, projector, speaker system, etc. You can even arrange transportation to and from the airport. We opted for that because we had to manage different arrivals and departures for 18 people coming from Brazil, the United States, and other regions of Peru. Furthermore, prices are fair, the location is great as the hotel is within walking distance to cafés, restaurants, convenience stores, and shops, and the rooms are nice. We had not one complaint from our group regarding the hotel amenities, rooms, services, or location.

The hotel is in a good location. The room was roomy and clean. However, the bed was really hard and the water was terrible! We stayed at the hotel 2 separate times. Both times, it took at least 3-5 minutes for hot water in the shower. The first time we stayed there, we never really got hot water. It was lukewarm. The second time we stayed was the same with getting hot water except this time, once it got hot, it was almost impossible to cool the water down. You could never get hot water in the sink because it was just a trickle. On another note, Kevin the nighttime clerk, was wonderful! We had a problem getting the results on our Covid test and he made phone calls to help us since we could not speak Spanish. I don't know what we would have done without him.

Subject: Disturbing Incident at Hotel Jose Antonio in Lima I am writing to bring to your attention an alarming incident that occurred at Hotel Jose Antonio in Lima during my recent stay. At approximately 1 am, an unsettling event unfolded when an unknown individual entered the room designated for children, causing them considerable distress. Although my children attempted to contact me at 1 AM, unfortunately, I missed their call. Promptly, my daughter contacted the hotel's reception to address the situation. To our shock and dismay, the hotel staff casually mentioned that housekeeping had mistakenly entered the wrong room. The gravity of the situation cannot be overstated—having someone enter a room, turn on lights, and disrupt the peace of guests at such a late hour is wholly unacceptable. Given the magnitude of this lapse in security and the impact it had on our experience, I feel compelled to share this information with others to ensure awareness of the hotel's shortcomings. I believe it is essential to share a negative review detailing this incident, emphasizing that such behavior is unacceptable, irrespective of the time of day. I trust that you will find this information helpful in making an informed decision regarding your choice of accommodation. It is my hope that by sharing this experience, others may be spared from encountering a similar situation.
