Kampaeng Ngam Hotel

Stayed there for 7 days. The hotel is very old & outdated & dirty. There were cob webs in the front sitting area. Pool towels were stained. The stone wall by the pool needs repairing etc. Our room was big but so old. Bed was so hard we had to ask for a topper that they provided. The toilet was in with the shower which is weird. The shower had mold. One lamp shade was new and one had mold.The hallway was full of dust. The free breakfast was terrible. The bacon & sausage were raw. The ham was slimy. Could not eat it. Location was good but would NOT stay there again.

I'm pretty sure this hotel will meet most people's basic requirements. It has most things you would want in a accommodation. But, it's not the best hotel I've ever been at. Or even the second best. Which is why I gave three stars After staying here for more than 2 weeks I feel like I know this place It's a bit rundown and everything seems to have a little problem with it. The air conditioner works but it's cranky, hot water with good water pressure but it's extremely inconsistent, the curtains don't really block any light or even cover most of the windows, the doors swing open because they are warped, the paint is coming off most of the wood furnishings, there is a TV but it's really far away from the bed and the tiniest TV you can put in a room, there is no way you can watch subtitles from the bed. It's basically useless. The refrigerator can only fit a couple of water bottles and half of the fridge is frozen even on the lowest setting. The hallways are constantly echoing with noise, I think there's mold in the walls, the water has sediment and rust coming from the pipes, the rooms aren't really cleaned all that well and there's a lot of build up of dirt and funk in the corners, The staff seems underpaid and overworked and seem like they kind of hate their job but they will help you and don't seem to put up much of a fuss when you need something, the pool is weirdly salty and not very inviting which is weird because I love swimming and I don't ever feel like swimming here, the views are terrible looking into old crusty buildings next door, the windows are single pain and let a lot of noise come through so if you're on the pool side you hear everything, there are a few cats and they are all scared of people, the room is cheap enough and the location is fine. Basically, it's good but, I don't think I would stay here again and would look for something else
