From the very start of booking this hotel I had a good feeling about the reservation . The communication was great from start to finish as I was coming from overseas so had lots of questions, about the location, checking in time and needing to leave luggage for the afternoon. The location was perfect and the rooms were lovely. I did find the bath a bit high to get in and out of which could be hazard for less abled people and when other people shut their bedroom doors it did make everything shake in our room but that’s just because we’re in old buildings so if you’re a light sleeper just bear that in mind and bring ear plugs.

My artists were happy with the room and location; but we were charged for a night we didn’t stay in the hotel, and were unable to stay in the hotel for the second night after paying due to no late cancellation, as is general procedure. We had checked out, but it would have been good service for the hotel to accommodate us for the night we paid for. I tried to resolve this post stay but unfortunately was referred to T&C’s. Legally, I can’t dispute, but they didn’t accommodate a very reasonable request. A real shame as we are a charitable organisation.

Lovely hotel that is tastefully decorated, with comfortable rooms, marble bathroom and beautiful large windows. Service was great, we had a very comfortable stay in an amazing location close to Hyde Park, tube station and a beautiful quiet street. A gem in this part of London.

So it's a bit of a weird hotel. The location is really nice, the room was large and the bathroom was really nice. The room was at the ground level but had no windows other than a ceiling window with dirt on it and scaffolding above it. Also there was no way to blind this window, so in the morning the room was light whether you wanted to sleep in or not. Also the room was set apart from the rest of the hotel and even had some open air next to another scaffold by the front door. It was a weird experience. The breakfast was small but nice and the service was great. I think if we had a room with normal windows the experience would have been close to perfect.

DO NOT STAY HERE. 1. From the moment I walked in there was chaos. I had pre booked my stay (fully paid), but this hotel forced me to pay a holding fee - this was fine, but they do not have the facilities for this! It’s 2024 they don’t have updated card machines so if you don’t usually carry a physical bank card (and you use a digital wallet, Apple Pay etc), you’re screwed. There is no alternative option. more importantly the big Asian guy I was dealing with lacked any empathy and didn’t really care. A stranger had to pay!!!!! 2. The rooms are very tiny. The TV is about 10”. Not ideal. Travelodge has bigger rooms for a fraction of the price. 3. They don’t have a bar section or anywhere you can lounge. 4. I had an allowance on my corp account which included £30 for food. They refused this unreasonably. Again. no modern resourxes and no customer service 5. The bathrooms are modern. However, the worst for me was there was no hot water. HOW CAN A HOTEL HAVE NO HOT WATER FACILITIES. I tried to shower and the water was ice stone cold for about 20-25 minutes. TWENTY MINUTES. When I called for help, a foreign lady told me someone would come and guess what? No one did. Also, They have taps that don’t tell you if the water is meant to be hot or cold so you have to guess by switching the sink one way and the shower the other way. Not convenient at all. As someone who frequents hotels for work etc, this is hands down, without question, the WORST hotel in London I have ever been to. For a London hotel, they do not have any modern facilities plus the added headache faced. I will never return: and for anyone on the fence thinking about going - don’t. i should gave listened to the other reviews.
