The rooftop bar is visible from all around, a great attraction. Once inside the hotel the views are fantastic across to the cathedral plus anything happening in the amazing courtyard whether any market or performers in this iconic square. There are two levels to the rooftop offering several views of Barcelona. Just sit at one of the perimeter tables and wait for the table service provided at the bar, admittedly there is a small add on charge for a drink but the value is well worth it.

The hotel is in a great location and we really enjoyed the views of the Catedral de Barcelona from the rooftop terrace bar. The beds and bathroom facilities themselves were comfortable, however there is construction going on almost all night (it literally started at 2am and went all morning, including Sunday). The windows and walls are SO thin that you hear literally everything and since it's all night, you never actually sleep. Our neighbors blasted their music and it was so bad that when we walked to the end of the hall you could still hear it completely as if you were in the same room. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed the food (breakfast, dinner, and bar).

The hotel is situated right in front of the Cathedral de Barcelona. Hence we booked a room with a balcony overlooking the entrance of the Cathedral. The hotel is very elegant, charming and quaint. The best part of our stay was the amazing staff. Especially the staff in the lobby. They surely made an impression with their friendliness, willingness to help and a fun attitude. The room was nice and comfortable for our short stay. However, they didn't have an iron in the room but were quick to bring one at request. It was a bit disappointing to receive a broken ironing board along with a dirty iron. For a 5-star establishment to have equipment in such a horrible manner was a bit shocking as well. We found the breakfast to have a wide variety of both savory and sweet items. You are able to order certain items prepared for your liking. The breakfast was served in the lobby area and when we visited it was not too crowded. The rooftop bar allows a nice view of the Cathedral, however it is a small rooftop area. While we visited there was a Christmas market right outside which added more to the ambience and experience. Will consider staying here but hope the management will look into the old, dirty equipment and replace them as needed as the condition of what was given to us was not acceptable for a 5-star rating.

I do not have a singular complaint about this place! The front desk is accommodating, the place is beautiful and in an amazing location, the room was huge and spacious. There are people who open the door for you upon arrival back to the hotel, there is a beautiful rooftop bar with drinks and beautiful views. The room we stayed in was so big, we also had the biggest bathroom and the soap, conditioner and shampoo in the bathroom had this amazing quality and smelled so good I was wondering about it after I left. The only possible thing that could make this better was a bigger elevator, but even that wasn't a damper on the vacation. This hotel was well worth it and so beautiful...You will not regret staying here.

We stayed here for three nights including New Years Eve. The location is amazing, and the hotel itself is lovely. The breakfast was fantastic. Unfortunately, I couldn't give the hotel five stars for a few reasons. We have stayed in many hotels in many countries, and have never stayed in a four star hotel where they charge you to replace your teabags.....even two star hotels provide tea and coffee for free. When we checked in, nobody advised us that we had a free welcome drink at the bar. When we asked, they advised us we could go to the bar for our drink, but it was a shame this wasn't forthcoming with some prompting. The hotel has a lovely rooftop bar which is open to guests and the public. Whilst I have no issue with this, it was virtually impossible to get the one working lift to your room as it was always busy taking people to and from the rooftop bar. They do have a second lift but this wasn't working the whole time we were there. To make matters worse, if you are having a drink on the 7th floor and want to use the toilet, you have to get the lift back to the ground floor. Even though there is a toilet on the 7th floor, but you aren't allowed to use this for some reason..... When we checked in, we were told the rooftop bar was open until 10.30pm every night. But when we tried to go up at 9pm on 31/12, it was shut. They closed early because it was New Years for some reason. Maybe this should not apply to hotel guests - close the bar by all means but why can't we access the rooftop for the view?
