EDIT: the owner called me a liar and changed her Airbnb photos so I wanted to share a comparison of what was advertised (the pretty photos of white furniture and decor) vs what we got. She is a liar and the place was a total scam. This review is for the condo rented by Daniela and Vinny on Airbnb, with all the pink pictures. First, the good: this condo is in a great location, very close to a terrific beach club, the famous 5th Avenue and Calle 38, the most gorgeous street in town with the best restaurants. Check-in was very easy, and I loved the location right by the large pool. The hosts were very friendly! The bad: It looked nothing like the photos. I chose it because in the listing, it looked gorgeous: beautiful decor, furniture and light fixtures. In reality, it had absolutely none of that. None of the plants or decor were there, the pretty light fixtures had been removed and replaced, and most of the furniture (the chairs and table in the living room, the chairs and table in the master bedroom) had been removed. I honestly didn’t even think it could be the same apartment at first. All of the walls were streaked with yellowing paint, and the bedspread in the main bedroom had paint or something stained on it. Also there were several huge roaches/palmetto bugs in there; I know it’s a tropical environment but this isn’t my first time in Playa and I’ve never had bugs in any other apartment there. If the apartment had been honestly represented on Airbnb, I would never have booked it.
