A cosy French style resort that is in the heart of the main street in Port Douglas. Welcomed by the friendly hosts, Lyn & Robert who were just wonderful. Very quiet as there were no kids & the pool was refreshing. The BBQ is clean & the pack provided was the best I've had anywhere. So convenient to walk out the front & be on the main strip & walking distance to the beach or shops. When we return to Port Douglas, we're staying here. Thanks for a wonderful week.

I love this place - if you are looking for a warm, friendly, chic little spot to spend a glorious week in Port Douglas, Le Cher du Monde is for you. The rooms are pretty and colourful, lots of space and nice and clean. The pool is sparkling and you are right next door to amazing restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops. It's a short walk to the marina and beach. Robert and Lyn are beautiful hosts, they treat you like family and their dog Allegra came to visit by the pool every day. This was my second visit and I was lucky enough to get a pool view both times. Loved everything! Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Can't beat this location in Port Douglas! The rooms met our expectations and the staff was very helpful. The only things stopping it from being a 5/5 review are the stairs (quite difficult with our luggage!) and the price we paid per night, which I'm not sure we got the value out of. When this is under $200 a night, it's certainly a good choice!
