It's a nice hotel in the middle of Taipei, but close to nothing except the MRT. The room is comfortable and they have a selection of movies free to watch on their TV/entertainment system. They seem to have a strict 3pm check-in time. The breakfast is OK for a European. They also have happy hour between 5pm-7pm where they serve food and drinks for free. I want to like this hotel more, but fail due to its location and price point.

Lovely place in the nook of taipei downtown district, quietly tucked away among the hustle and bustle of everyday traffic. Loved the wooden furnishings and antique feel of the place. The staff was very friendly and very attentive - we needed to change our hair dryer and forgot that we left the do not disturb light on so they left it by the door and called our room to tell us about it instead of knocking as any other hotel might do. 💯 for great service. Rooms are sufficiently big for downtown taipei city, was able to open my check in luggage with no issues. The ironing board was super handy as well as we needed it for a friend's wedding nearby. Price was also very attractive when we booked it on klook, making it worthy for a 5 star hotel experience for our needs. No view from our room but it really wasnt necessary for a hotel in such a central location. Breakfast buffet had a great international selection as well, all in all a fantastic stay

Right next to the MRT station with excellent room which large and well appointed. No real greenwashed cost savings. The breakfast and Afternoon drinks and food are excellent making this hotel an excellent value.

Stayed here for 1 week. This is a nice hotel but would consider this more of a business hotel rather than a holiday hotel. If you are here for a short business trip, this might be a 5-star boutique hotel. If you are here for vacation, this might be a 4-star for you. Pros: 1) Convenient location. 2 train lines at your doorstep. Family Mart, Daiso and 7-11 just a stone's throw away. There is also shopping mall directly opposite that has five floors of food if you do not feel like going far. Mcdonalds, KFC and Starbucks are around 5-10 minutes walk away. 2) Room is well-furnished. Bed is comfortable. Amenities kit is well-stocked. Toilet is massive with a dedicated powder area with infra-red lamp above you. 3) Many of the staff can speak fluent Japanese and passable English. Areas of improvement: 1) The breakfast time ends at 10am on weekday and 1030am on weekend. This is way too early. If you are here for a business trip or you like to start your sightseeing early, then this should not be an issue. But if you like to wake up late when you are on your vacation, this is not the place for you. I am not sure why the breakfast ends so early since they do not serve lunch in the dining area. Maybe its their staff contracting hours. 2) The Happy Hour is very limited. They have coke, taiwan beer and one bottle of red and white wine (these are 10-15 USD bottles, so don't expect much). The snacks are the three same biscuits for the whole week that I was there and the biscuits did not taste good. I tried it on the first day and never took a second serving. Suggestion for the hotel is to serve some local taiwanese snacks. This would be far better than the biscuits currently on display.
