The room design is dated (European style). Some details inside the room is not maintained well. But service is top notch as a Japanese brand, room size is very decent. Good location too!

Such a gorgeous hotel in a great location in central Taipei. It's located right across the road from Zhongshan MRT station, so it's very convenient to get anywhere in Taipei. It's also near lots of department stores and other shops, as well as restaurants and local food stalls. The hotel staff are amazing, they are super attentive, welcoming and friendly, and someone is always available if you need help. Most of them speak English, Mandarin and Japanese which is very useful if you can only speak/understand one or the other. We had breakfast included in our stay and the variety of food was great. It was pretty much the same every morning, with only a few dishes being swapped out every other day or so. That wasn't a problem, however, as you've got a good range of things to eat such as breads & pastries, hash browns, sausages, bacon and eggs, stir fried vermicelli, steamed spare ribs, congee, miso soup, rice, stir fried veg, Japanese stew, fresh fruit etc. You could definitely try something new every day. I didn't use the spa but had heard it was lovely. The gym is also good as there is a good variety of machines and dumbbells to use. Would definitely stay again if I can next time I'm in Taipei.

Well appointed room/hardware but letdown by the software (people), who were sincere but inexperienced. Day 1: checked in, found the bathroom bodywash and shampoo was not replenished. Registration got my details wrong even though they had my passport. Day 2: Room make up service was ridiculously late. I came back at 430pm and it was not cleaned up. Day 3: TV died or specifically, the TV box failed and needed to be reset by the tech (hardware problem) Day 4: Random fruit basket found in the room, attention to guests were not staying here. I called concierge to take it away since it did not belong to me. But they called me back after 20 minutes to check if I am the owner or if I know these people. Why? Can't you call the address on the basket to ask them instead? Get your basics right. I've stayed in no frills 3 star hotels were better. Their rooms were not as plush and they did not have greeters, but things ran like clock work and was clean.

Good location, one stone away from Zhong Shan MRT. Perfect service from the staffs with nice and warm attitude. Very thoughtful and generous regarding amenities provided in the room and public areas. The room is very spacious with views if located on higher floor, also super clean and has ample of sun light. The bathroom and toilet are the highlights. The shower head has massage jets and toilet is a TOTO bidet one, much better than just a bidet toilet seat. The heated pool and sauna are clean and cozy. All in all wonderful experience if u would like to experience high standards of Japanese hotels. Highly recommended.
