We were a group of 10 visiting Bucharest for Christmas and as it was the first time for us visiting Romania, we were a bit skeptical about the place. Staying at Hotel Lido made things much more easier for us to adapt and reach the locations we needed! Staff very friendly and supportive, breakfast at Lido Brasserie was also perfect! Rooms were clean and very cozy!

We loved this hotel,we had an upgrade on arrival to a suite and the room was beautiful, immaculate and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was simple but the quality was good and thats what matters...I would certainly return to this beautiful, boutique hotel .

We were generally happy with this hotel. We stayed there twice and had a nice room. However, we disliked the attitude of the red-haired girl at the reception: we booked our second stay at the end of our first stay and said we’d like the same room or even better, one with a bathtub. The reception agent gave us a price and said he’d keep our room and that if there was one available, we’d be upgraded to a room with a bathtub. When we came back, the red-haired girl was at the reception and basically told us the rooms with bathtubs were available but we’d have to paid almost twice the agreed amount. So we chose to keep the same room. She tried to overcharge us compared to the price we had agreed upon when we booked - we of course refused and after discussing she put the price already agreed on (which was the same as if I had booked on Agoda last minute, so not a discount or anything!). And when we finally checked in, we found that the room had been sprayed with a lot of nauseating perfume, which hadn’t been the case on the first stay. So we regret coming back! All the other receptionists however were very nice. On the first stay we did notice a cockroach in the bathroom but we know it’s a general problem in Bucharest, not specific of this hotel.

Great hotel , very clean and tidy. Check in was fast. Staff is attentive. Room is satisfied for couple, comfortable, with king size bed. Fantastic breakfast with variety of cheese, big and delicious salad. The elevator with retro appearance, but works fine. Also bell boy services. The hotel location is close to the center, we didn't travel since we had bus services, thus it seems that the location is close to the main attractions. The hotel environment/ interior decor is very nice with great decorations around and on the walls, gives sense of old boutique hotel, very unique.

I had previously stayed at this hotel and was so impressed that I decided to book a second stay. The design and ambiance of the rooms truly resonated with me, Location also very good with the minus related to Parking. However, I found the staff and service to be lacking. I had made my reservation three weeks in advance and even called three days before my check-in date to clarify certain details. To my surprise, they couldn't locate my booking, suggesting it hadn't been saved. Instead of providing a solution or honoring my original rate, they asked for an additional 30 Euros per night. While I was initially drawn to this hotel for its design, I'm now hesitant to book there again or recommend it to others.
