Don't expect the Ritz, if you want a basic room and decent options for breakfast this is ideal. The rooms are clean enough and roomy for what we needed 2 adults and a Grandchild. The location is ideal for local amenities and the market nearby is great for walkabout food. If you like walking this is good, just walk along the Thames in either direction and you'll find lots of sights.

This is a great alternative to paying high hotel prices in London. During the summer months, LSE rents out its dorms to travelers. They even offer a full English breakfast in the morning at their cafeteria... The rooms are basic dorm rooms. No A/C. It was very hot in London and it would have been nice to have a fan. This LSE location has bathrooms within the dorm rooms. Other LSE locations have bathrooms down the hall. Not an inconvenience. Just something to be aware of... I arrived about 1am and they lost the reservation (or gave it away when a group of 35 other tourists came in earlier)... They were frantic, but eventually found the error. They were still able to accommodate... Issues happen, but they resolved successfully.

Travel We stayed at the LSE Bankside House for two nights. General The LSE Bankside House is actually a student residence and can be booked as a B&B during the semester break. Location The accommodation is right next to the Tate Modern in the trendy Bankside district with numerous sights, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets. Check in Check in was uncomplicated. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms The rooms are clean and functional, I slept well. The bathroom was also clean and functional. Breakfast The breakfast was plentiful and good. Luggage storage It was also no problem to store the luggage on site before check in. Conclusion A very well located, for London very cheap B&B with basic facilities. Recommended.

Very good, except the fact that it was not stated anywhere that someone would come clean your room every 2 days i think. I only was there for 5 days so I couldn't know. But for everything else it was good and funny enough there was an alarm where we had to go out. The breakfast area is very good, there is alot of options. The place is perfect, next to Tate Modern so if you plan to go to this hotel then you should check out Tate Modern.
