We had a really nice stay here. Location is amazing: Prati is a really nice area with lots of cafes and restaurants that are reasonable with great food, walking distance to everywhere, very close to the Vatican, metro stop nearby, buses. Maison Risorgimento is located inside a building courtyard which is very safe and also gorgeous - very Roman. The room was very comfortable and extremely clean. Very stylish. Giorgio was very helpful with anything we needed. The price was reasonable. I hope to be back in Rome some day so I can stay here again.

Horrible experience with the host, Giorgio, who was accusing us of smoking in the room, shouting and banging the table in front of us on our last day in Rome. His colleague had also to ask him to calm down as he couldn’t control his temper. We had to go back in the middle of the day and were treated disrespectfully before ending our holiday. He was also blackmailing us to give a 10* review on Booking.com, or he will give us a fine for the “cigarette smell” even though we told him we are non-smokers and the room just smelled like steamy and soap smell from the shower. They insisted that it smelled of smoke. When we went back, apparently there was some ash on the windowsill that we didn’t see before we left. He even shouted us saying he was going to call the police because we said we did not appreciate being set up and blackmailed. Pros: responsive host, secure and good location Cons: very dusty on the ledges around the wall and furniture The staff was late to open the door, we received an apology from the host, but also he blamed that we arrived earlier than schedule even when we were exactly on time Small bathroom Not much natural light as it’s on the ground floor and the window is painted over. Lack of professionalism that the host was argumentative and belligerent. The cleaner took our used towels, but didn’t replace fresh ones. Only Italian TV The duvet wasn’t covered properly in a duvet cover, it’s just put between two sheets with no zip or button to stop the inside from coming out

Loved our stay here. Great location that felt safe and quiet of a night. Room that we were in was very smart and cleaned every day. Our host, Giorgio, was a hero. Very helpful, always available to message and asked him for recommendations for food, things to see, directions. He made our experience 10x better. Highly recommended.
